Interesting start for this game but the campers that like killing new low level characters trying to figure out the game are chronic. Those people are potentially killing your game.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this game. As other reviews have posted, this is a cash grab and pay2win. If it was only $5, then you can sink a couple of hours into it and not regret it.
The controls are clunky, there is no tutorial, item prices (in-game currency) are outrageous, and there is nothing to do if you are low level except waste 10-15 minutes flipping towns that default back to neutral after a period. At best, this game needs another year of solid work before I would consider playing it again.

Its not a finished game but not listed as early access. It's A mess of bugs and lack of content. Could be good someday but not today.
I'm past the point of refund. Ive been playing and these are my thoughts so far.
Pros +
+art style? The graphics are pretty nice. The colors have more of a real world feel that brings you into the scenery.
+Faction pvp
+Chance to earn cosmetic items though it is hard.
+Character customization
+Missions and events.
+free skill resets
Cons -
-animations feel clunky.
-sounds (Cant tell where shots are from sometimes)
-missions are very medicorce. Same faction groups dont group together and instead play kill the hot potato til last man standing turns in the reward.
-Faction pvp where the fuck is the other team? Its very unbalanced right now 90/10 teams.
-Pay 2 level up fast shop items
-Its hard ot win cosmetic items. Almost everything is behind a paywall loot box system.
-No wildlife
-no npcs / no life in the west
-Feels like there is nothing to do outside of town raids.
-Lack of weapons. 2 pistols... come on the west was full of guns.
-Shooting on horseback sucks. You cant first person on horse. Sometimes you character animation blocks your view shooting.
-crosshair / slow bullet speed makes shooting a pain the ass. Just wiggle left and right and it's terribly hard to hit someone.
-No melee

Before you read, I'm not much into saltiness but this took me out some grains of it. I'll take that it's on an early development stage.
First off, I'm a big sucker for the western genre, which was the main reason I purchased the game and hope it has a brighter future, so this will be my impressions within my hours of gameplay as Townie. (which is the basic "free" pack of the game).
--Starting--
You start by creating your character, choosing your faction among the 2 existent ones, choosing between the official servers, see the game alraedy teasing you to spend more money for some advantage items (the advantage is quite big!) and then you get to play. Simple as that, right?
Not so much...
You get thrown into one of the safezone cities, where players cannot be harmed, you get an average revolver. And thats it. No tutorials, unless you count the youtube video that barely explains 35% of how the game works that pops up the first time you use the launcher. This is the part where you either swim, or sink.
There is no problem within games that doesn't teach you before you get to play, some recognized games have that, but not a single hint, a glimpse in-game of what to start the game with, or even a low-level/starter event so new players could get the hang of it and even start a group within, without getting their arse steamrolled? That can be very problematic.
--Customization--
As for now, customization is utterly lacking, little option of faces or hair. The best way of customization as for now is purchasing boxes via microtransactions (which are the sin of MMOs) and random rewards from daily quests. (which can be a boring grindfest, which I'll get to later), as a beginner, you'll probrally stick to the bland looking white shirt and brown jeans for a very long time. (not to mention you magicly lose all your hair while equipping a hat).
Also, there is no way of purchasing clothing or boxes with in-game currency, you have to face the trial of the boring grindfest and praise our RNGesus.
The game apparently also allows you to play as a female character, but this option is locked for now. (Why even bother if it's not even implemented?)
--Gameplay--

[strike]Ah... The gameplay... Currently the cherry in the cake of turd.[/strike]
First off, the balancing. At this moment, the game is runned by 2 factions where the player chooses from, which already is kind of an idea that doesn't work very well with how it is implemented. By now, both factions have their timezones where town event capture events literally SWARM with one team massively outnumbering another. There is no balancing, no team switch, no team limits, nothing. Get yourself, as a lvl 8, fighting against lvl 30~58 veterans. You literally just jump in the ongoing event regardless of it's progress.
Leveling in the game is currently a bit of a hassle. All equipments and crafting have level locks, which mean you cannot purchase or craft any equipment below that level requirement. You are bound to stick with your revolver until level 10, where you can buy a shotgun, which is very expensive for the current currency-gaining methods. You want XP? Good luck riding horses all across the map for hours so you can get some XP for exploring new areas, which all are about the same, no shop variations, events (not counting global ones), or anything at all, except for the farms which can give you daily grindfest, boring, quests, which sometimes are not even worth it. Don't even bother XP with mining or crafting, they only give you 1 point each, and you need about more than 500 just for the first levels, it'll take you a half-life 3 release to get to lvl 10 that way.
Did I mention that I went for the general store, spent money worth out of ~2 town capture events (which can take up to 20 minutes each), just to get a mining map so I can get metal to upgrade my starting revolver, went for about an hour of mining, more half of it going back and forth the city because my pickaxe kept breaking before I had the metal, and the painfully small inventory space doesn't help (not upgradeable by in-game money), doing the daily quests that feel like a chore just to get crafting components just to find out that I actually need a blueprint to craft that all, after all the grinding? And hey, game doesn't tell you where to get that because fu** you.
Another way of earning XP, and probrally the most effective after exploring the empty box of sand that is the current map of the game, is participating in the, once said, town capture events. Which is the main focus of the PvP side of the game as now.
BOI, are we in for a ride...
First, if you're a noob, you'll get steamrolled. As said before, there is no balancing. You will face lvl 50s. You will face people with better guns than you. You will face people who are unfairly better at the game than you. This is mostly the place where people will either stick up to their beating until they step up the food chain or simply be done with the current state of the game.
Rewards are also underwhelming. You get about just enough money to purchase one gun oiling kit (Oh yeah, guns have durability in this game...), which also includes your only starting gun, which decreases everytime you fire it. Let's say, you actually get to win the event with your team, you open the bag and get 50 in-game dollars. Hey, guess what? You spent 40 out of that just to repair 15 points worth of your gun. Yeah, going up places like that.
Now, horseback riding. That, is where the main event of this game goes even more downhill.
Horses are actually invincible, meaning you cannot shoot them down to make the rider fall to the ground, which also means you have to shoot him. What's that? You only got your slow-firing starting revolver, and he's strafing around just to get to your face with a shotgun? Well, I guess I'll call my horse then...
Oh, it spawned 500m away from me...
Horseback should be disabled from town events, as they make people harder to hit, are slow to get in before being shot from someone who's already on one, and make the fight concentrate AROUND the town and not IN it (I tought it was called TOWN capture, right?) and I also forgot the spawncamping, you and the enemy team have visible tents where you spawn around, which with an enemy team of horseback shotgunners, you can pretty much expect what happens next.
The small, non-upgradeable backpack size is also a burden, as you can purchase, with your in-game money, consumables that will make you stop bleeding, recover health, stamina and so, but you're gonna have a hard time managing that, not to mention your rewards probrally won't even cover your spends.
The current in-game currency making. You either grind 48 hours a day in a basement living out of water drops from the ceiling just to get about enough money to buy yourself another gun, or get lucky enough to get matched with a fair team (which is a rare thing), or carried by your own, and again, your spendings will probrally be higher than the money you made.
By the way, I stood an town capture for the whole match, just to get killer seconds before the match ending, and I didn't get the reward bag cause fu** you again.
TL;DR It is a rather raw game yet, it has alot of flaws in balancing, gameplay and design features, but it didn't mean I didn't have my share of fun when I got into some more square shootouts. The game can hook someone to keep playing it.
I really wish that it will be growing and becoming better as time goes by, since it looks like the devs are actually listening to the community, and molding the game through feedbacks. As goes the dev backstory within other games, it is a bit bothering, but it might show some redemption. Until then, may the trial of time be produtive towards the game's quality.
EDIT: NOPE. Was mistaken, game is pretty much dead and abandoned. Shame.

$30.00 for a Pay2Win Alpha game that is being advertised as a full release. This game should be free. Game launched 3 days ago and there are lvl 58 characters running around that will one shot you. Four different events that you can get gear from...you will have less than a 1% chance of getting the airdrop, or relic item, but will enjoy watching level 50s walk all over you and get it repeatidly. It is virtually impossible to progress around level 20, having no real way to obtain any items. This leaves you spending hours....and believe me I mean HOURS, searching the map for these camping sites for unopened chest, which 9 out of 10 will have already been raided. The faction system is completely one sided. You want to craft a bandage? Guess what...You have to be lvl 25, and have obtained the recipe, and have the materials to craft it. Virtually everything requires that you have learned a recipe. Good luck finding recipes!

Be Warned!
This Game seems to be dead. Both Servers (yes, there was just 2 Servers!) are down and the developers runs off.
You cant play WWO anymore, all you will see is the menu. Steam should finally remove the game.
MY SUGGESTION: DONT BUY IT!
