This might be the first game I've played on Steam where I simultaneously get SO FRUSTRATED with some of these puzzles yet am having an absolute blast the entire time. There's some genius level design at play here and the whole presentation of the game is incredibly stylish and crunchy. I am determined to get through as much of this game without consoling any walkthrough. So far, I haven't, even if it means I've been stuck on some levels for longer than what might be expected. But I'm okay with that. Most of the fun is just wrapping your head around each level and trying to find the loophole you need to get the win. That said, I think I'm allowed to give myself grace if I DO choose to find some hints online. And you are too. So go ahead and get this game if you're looking for a really creative, albeit tricky puzzle game. Don't get discouraged if it ever gets difficult. And if you're one of those people that can speed through this whole game because, in your opinion, it's all too easy? Hey. Good for you, champ. One more thing, and it's a throwaway comment. I have a slight suspicion that you may have the upperhand with a game like this if you have some familiarity with things like programming and computer science. Not sure why I say that, since I didn't study that field. It's just a hunch I have.

honestly feels like the hardest purely logic-oriented puzzle game i've ever played. baba is you takes the typical sokoban format and adds word blocks that literally format the rules of the level allowing for a vast amount of design creativity as well as... time spent staring at the screen trying to rack what you could possibly be missing to beat the level. but it's rare for solutions to levels feel unfair. baba is you is just really hard due to the sheer overwhelming amount of possibilities derived from its central rule-building gimmick. every level feels so functionally unique because of this versatile premise. bonus points for being a puzzle game with
a late game that gets overly meta
. big fan of that though i haven't ventured too much into this game's community, it's worth noting that the aforementioned 'design creativity' has been expanded upon by fans through various custom levels and level packs. even after you finish the game, there will always be more levels to play with, some of which may utilise completely original gimmicks that,, are too unhinged to be sensibly included in base game. double bonus points. cute unique pixelart aesthetic too buy if you're a real the thinker

Imagine spending an hour shaking out a loose soda can from a vending machine and feeling proud Only for a peer to literally phase through the glass making you reevaluate reality, grab a can for themselves and say "Why didn't you just do that?"

Baba Is You is such an incredible game, maybe even the best puzzle game ever made. Even though it gets really hard quite fast, so that you might stare ages at one level without having a clue, eventually you will beat it and all of that is exactly why this game is so amazing and fun! If you are into puzzle games at all this is a MUST BUY!

One of the great sokoban descendents. Enjoyable when it focuses on high level rule construction instead of block pushing interactions.

Incredible puzzle game. Great game for a break between giant immersive games or games that require crazy mechanics. This game plays on logic and expands your mind to possibilities that you never thought would be possible given the constraints, but you can change the rules and find creative solutions.

game is fun text is review you should buy baba is you Fun game about literally bending the rules to beat levels. I don't personally remember the last time I played this for fun, but from what I do remember, finally figuring out the way to beat a level is really satisfying especially with the way this game is set up in the first place. I wouldn't wager this game to be worth 15 dollars, maybe somewhere closer to 10, but still a good experience nonetheless.

One of the greatest puzzle games ever created and almost certainly the best sokoban. Endlessly creative with elegantly designed puzzles. When you solve a particularly difficult level, you are in awe of its creator's brilliance and you feel a tremendous satisfaction which is earned. Graphics are low-fi but charming and music is very enjoyable. One last note, the game is VERY difficult but not unfair, boring, or meaninglessly so.
