Fun gameplay and story. The game looks great. Only 3 hr in so far. Its like a cyberpunk dragon quest.

Poorly Written and some of the sprites are bad. Even the buildings aren't that good. The interior is so big, so much empty space, while the exterior look so small. There's no consistency. Sprite Wise it's pretty bad, they look like bad chibis. Story wise it's bad, poorly written and it lacks buildup. This feels like a fanfiction written by a teen. The price is way above the game. Overall I don't recommend it.

The second sequel to Fateholders of Tetsoidea, Defenders of Tetsoidea returns to be around the (dubious) quality of the original, the length returning to about three hours as well. The names are even getting less questionable, though there's still a lot of bad diaper jokes and other nonsense that's probably mostly funny to the author. The mechanics remain overall similar, a linear progression from one map to the next with frequent save points that restore all of your HP and MP, with combat mechanics that are better than Tetsoidea Eternal's but only okay - there's some gimmicks with certain characters and enemies needing to spend a turn getting into melee range before they can attack, but not everyone really manages to be useful, especially in boss fights, and it continues the odd pattern from Tetsoidea Eternal of having more expensive special attacks that barely have any more effect than the basics. At least things were more interesting over all, in terms of adapting your strategy to the combat at hand rather than just doing the same thing every time. Story-wise, it's still disjointed and aimless, but the entire thing is a giant Final Fantasy 7 ripoff instead. Except there's not the twist from the end of Disc 1, I guess. Anyway, not recommended, but this one is more like my non-recommendation of Fateholders of Tetsoidea - if you already own it for some reason, I guess you can play it, but you really shouldn't buy it.
