while this game is not challenging by any means and has no replay value, it had a really enjoyable narrative with interesting characters (including the main one) and a gorgeous art style. that being said, i only recommend getting it (and on sale) if you are a chronic hoarder in games or you will likely find it way too grindy.

very chill, gameplay loop is pretty repetitive but i enjoyed collecting as much stuff as i could just to have virtually everything i'd need later on, then doing the story, then back to mass collecting, so on and so forth. i come back to it after a long while of not playing and it feels fresh again. tl;dr it's chill, calming, can get repetitive, still two thumbs up from me

its very cozy, however it can get confusing at times as to where you are supposed to find some items, but keep pushing. i love this game, has to be in my top 5!

DNF This is actually hard to thumbs down, because I totally recognize that this just isn't the game for me. I can absolutely see how it would work for others, because the idea is fine and the style of the game is great. But the grind just isn't for me. The constant backtracking and jumping through hoops for one very specific item, only to have to do it all again 20 minutes later is just not fun actually. Or, not fun enough for me to compel me to keep going. I collected the first 4 souls, but the idea of doing essentially the exact same loop twice more is just not enticing. Also, I guessed how the sleeping girl was going to tie in the first time she was introduced so. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ But again, this is just me. You should definitely not take my word for it if you think you might like it. YMMV.

This is such a visually stunning game, and I very much enjoy the Witch as the protagonist. Her matter-of-fact, no-nonsense nature was a joy - she's too old for all this drama, and it's delightful. She was my favourite part of the game. This is a crafting game, so of course I was prepared to gather materials all the time, but the more complex recipes were a bit tedious when you needed them frequently. Still, I made sure to always stock back up on ingredients whenever I used them, so for the most part, I managed to stay on top of my resource management. Someone less inclined to explore and backtrack might find it a little grating, though. Overall, the game was a very fun and captivating experience, and I enjoyed my time with it a lot.

This is my very first Steam game and I am not young. i enjoyed the challenge of how and where to get things. I do get turned around often but that is how I often find the things I need.

I don't know that I really classify as a gamer, I'm quite picky. My top three games are Sims 4, World of Warcraft and Palia, and its rare I find anything else that I enjoy like I have enjoyed Wytchwood. I was so enraptured while playing that first day I completely missed a virtual meet I was excited to attend. I really find the aesthetic, right down the music and sounds. It's my first time playing on steamdeck and it played well! I haven't yet finished the game, but I'm enjoying the story and quests, they are thoughtful and fun, I like that the quest dialogues are relatively short and clear. I saw an online review that said it takes nearly 10 hours to complete, I'm 11 hours in and about half way through and already I just hope there are additional expansions and gameplay to come! It feels like just the right mental stim and challenge for a lazy weekend. Thank you!
