Great game, lots to do with the base game. Where it becomes an absolutely insane game is with the plethora of mods, ranging from simple graphics mods to making this game into an entirely new original game.
Absolutely recommend this game, because you get a great base game but also the ability to turn it into hundreds of different games with mods.

It was great, for a while. Then it started crashing everytime. As you progress, you notice the Bethesda treatment ever-so-often. Unless you can handle the constant crashing, bugs, and glitches. This games not for you.

Stop going down the path of shareholder maximization. You're literally destroying the reputation and playability of one of the greatest game franchises in human civilization simply because you want to squeeze it for all it's worth. I PROMISE you if you put artistic creativity and making a good standalone game you will make sufficient quantities of money, AND people would LOVE you. Don't destroy bethesda just because you're greedy.

This is the original Skyrim for PC. There are so many legacy mods that are available for this version that just never made it into Anniversary edition, but enough time has passed to where there are mods that are available for Anniversary edition and not for this one, AND the Anniversary edition ones are being updated. I'd say look at the lists and decide for yourself which one you would prefer. Tbh, both versions play the same lol. I just keep this one around because Steam has hidden the link to this version despite still supporting it on Steam.
