Posable Heroes Reviews

A puzzle game that asks YOU to animate the main characters. In the same spirit as Toribash or QWOP, Posable Heroes is a physics game that rewards precision and physical manoeuvres. Pose your characters and press play to see what happens. Keep modifying the poses until you create a full movie that solves each challenge.
[THE FOLLOWING REVIEW IS OUTDATED AS THE GAME HASN'T RECEIVED ANY NEW UPDATES OR LEFT EARLY ACCCESS SINCE 2019. IT IS VERY UNLIKELY THAT IT WILL EVER GET UPDATED]
Great idea that deserves more attention. The style is really appealing, gameplay is quite original, I've never seen anything like it before. It feels like Toribash in a way, but in 2D and with a pretty nice plot to keep you engaged for some time :) There are some drawbacks though: sometimes the tasks don't seem that intuitive. Maybe it was a developer's intention, so that a player would figure everything out on their own, but for me personally it couldn't work in some missions. The moves you do sometimes feel like they cause random consequences. One small move can change the course of your entire animation. Also, the music is a mixed bag. Sometimes it's nice and atmospheric and sometimes it just feels pretty generic. BUT despite all that, once you get get used to the whole system, Posable Heroes is very satisfying. My favourite part of the whole game is probably the combat because this AI is really fun to fight against. If you enjoy ragdoll-based physics, spiced up by puzzles of different sorts and procedural 2D-animation, this game is definitely going to be your cup of tea. It's a real shame this game doesn't deserve as much atteiton as it deserves.

It's cool, and fairly unique, and watching a finished level as the hero does your crazy sequence of moves in live action is pretty entertaining. However, it doesn't quite hone in on what makes physicsy physics games funny, the whole element of [trying to do things->things you didn't intend happening] doesn't happen here much since you actively tweak your moves until the thing you actually intended (or something close-ish) happens.

Very fun game, incredibly satisfying to watch the finished product of your animation. There should be less puzzle-like levels, and more parkour/fighting levels. The way the game is played out, it feels awkward to be solving puzzles, and it's allot less satisfying to watch the final product of a puzzle solving level.

Really funny to manipulate your limbs to do those stunts frame by frame! hahahhhh! I think it's a great educational game for animation with characters and environment already set up, and all you need to do is make your key frames and design your actions.

Honestly a fun time. As someone who does a lot of animation I feel comfortable playing this, and the combat is always fun. I just wish there was more of the game, maybe workshop support?

Really fun game, quite addictive when you get the hang of it. Things get a little clunky when multiple characters are interacting in one animation, each throwing the other off their sequence of movements, but for the most part this is a really cool unique game I recommend.

It's a great game, fun and challenging campaign with awesome gameplay and really odd plot twists! All it needs is an update and the level editor finished, then it'll be my favourite game.
