Warning: Asset Flip!
Beyond the Wall is a Digital Homicide style asset flip, or what Valve calls a "Fake Game". The "developer" paid for/pirated a few Unity asset store packs, dumped them all in a blender, and submitted it to Valve as if they're real game developers. It's important to also note the "developers" here didn't credit any of the artists and real, actual game developers who created the assets here, so this is plagiarism, as well as cash grab shovelware. This is a very bare bones "minimum viable product" asset flip, a simple mobile app-like 2D top down pathing/avoidance game where you move around a grid made from a stolen asset tileset avoiding undead. The game infringes the copyright of George R.R. Martin, unabashedly, but these guys never cared about copyright or intellectual property infringement. For Kids have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Feeding The Monster" = Feeding The Monster developed by Sasha Gorec
"Astro Bouncer" = Astro Bouncer Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"Pixel Traffic: Circle Rush" = Circle Crash developed by SgLib Games
"Pixel Traffic: Highway Racing" = Crashy Racing full game pack developed by SgLib games
"Pixel Traffic: Risky Bridge" = Crossy Bridge Game Template developed by SgLib Games
"My Little Worms" = Dashy Worms developed by SgLib Games
"My Coloring Book: Animals" = Paint Book Complete Project developed by Digi Smile Limited
"My Coloring Book: Food and Beverage" = Paint Book Complete Project developed by Digi Smile Limited
"My Coloring Book: Professions" = Paint Book Complete Project developed by Digi Smile Limited
"Space Stories: Darth Star" = Planetary Defence game pack developed by Daniel Buckley
"Temple Escape" = Temple Escape developed by SgLib games
"Z Runaway" = ZigZag Infinite Runner Game developed by Puppeteer
"Find This!" = Hidden Object Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"Tower Stacker" = Tower Stacker Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"Vampires!" = Thirsty Vampire developed by Code Master Studio
"Nimble Fish" = 2D Endless Fish Runner developed by 1RadMan
Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes "Beyond the Wall" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. Beyond the Wall is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam.

Very cool game. Simple idea: Walk around and get food so you don't die of hunger. No buggy gameplay, but can get so hard. >.< Very very cool. <3

An enjoyable piece of casual fun - but you still have to think your way through. Don't know that I will play for too long, but the leaderboard is keeping me focused at the moment.

The game is slightly repetitive and all, especially if you're aiming to reach day 100, but I am certainly not the target demographic as the game is intended for kids. So I will in fact, recommend this game as it is for a younger crowd! Pro tip: Make use of the restart button, it is very helpful, especially if you want to reach the higher days and not get screwed by RNG.

"Beyond the Wall" is a survival simulator in which you have to hold out in the frost as long as possible while avoiding the walking dead. The Artstyle was nice and i also liked the music. It took me around 2.1 hours to finish it with all achievements. You get one for surviving levels or stacking health. I got the game for 0,59€ on sale, i dont know if i would have bought it for the full price. The game is pkay, try it out!
Broken, Unbalanced, Borderline Unplayable
Beyond the Wall is absolute hot garbage. It's a game where you collect food to gain health and avoid enemies while going from one corner to the other in order to progress. Each level is randomly generated, progressively getting harder and harder. The problem is that these levels are generated so poorly that you literally have to abuse the reset feature the game luckily includes in order to get past 90% of them. I'm not talking about making it easier to complete a level, I mean that enemies will literally spawn right on top of you, or directly in the only available path so when you try and move, you literally get trapped and die. It's not a matter of levels being difficult, but levels being literally impossible. There were times I had to reset 20+ times in order to get past a single level. Don't waste your time, don't waste your money, and most definitely do not buy this game. For more reviews, visit my curator page.

This games a scam. Reviews are fake. There is no effort put into the game and everything is bare bones. It is a shame because it had potential if the developoer wanted to put more than an hour into its creation they could have made it interesting to play.
