It's a 5/10 short and not-so-sweet game that leaves a sour taste in your mouth after your play it. It's cheap and good for a playthrough so I will recommend it but don't go expecting it's GOTY material
Let me be straight with you, the game came out last 2017 and compared to other horror games, House of Velez offers very very little except for ultra morbid death scenes.
(-) Decent but few puzzles
(-) Sh*tty stealth mechanic that just became a tedious thing to do
(+) original spoopy monsters
(+) there's death scenes for every scenario you might come upon
(*) Morbid death scenes, some like it and other's don't
Heard there's a remake in the works and I'm looking forward to it.

One of the best small indie horror games I've played. The atmosphere is suffocating the enemies are so brutal and voice acting so otherworldly that the game feels cursed.
Its Clocktower taken to insane lengths with excruciating death scenes that churn the stomach. I'm usually not one for gore but the obvious effort and time taken to craft such intricate scenes deserves respect.
