Very nice game. I had some friends over today, and we played it for 4 hours. We only played the CO-OP mode, and didn't even beat every level.
Highly recommend if you have real life friends to play with.

The camera is the biggest enemy in the game. It does and WILL pull you into asteroids, enemies, and bombs.

Fun little game with friends. I find it so funny when someone builds a non-sensible ship!

I cannot find the words to praise this game enough. Simply the best local multiplayer game available on steam. I recommend grabbing some mates, some controllers, hooking your game up to a big TV or projector and having the night of your life.

Great game to play with some friends. The customizability of building your own ship is great, although I think a winning ship in "Scrap King" mode should get maybe 6 builds instead of 4 as often the ship is close to destruction. Also, if you pick to keep your ship after winning, you cant go back and chane your mind
Some components needed some getting used to (Particularly the dash drive) but we picked up how everything worked quite quickly.
One thing we were unsure of though was if the generator affected mines and the galaxy gun

The starting idea is good, but controlling the ship is not so much. And the camera doesn't really show/follow me. I guess the AI players are considered normal players and the game try to fit everyone on the screen but not willing to go far enough for it..

The first game from Catalope Games is just as great as it looks.
For starters, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Fast paced action for 1-4 players as well as lots and lots of fun.
Recommended for anyone who likes party games, geometry wars or just indie games in general.

This is an excellent game for some friends to gather around and play together. My only complaint was that the screen shook wildly whenever a ship exploded, however, the developer actually took the time to answer my comment on the game's discussion board: within a very short amount of time a slider bar for explosion shake was added!
In this game you (and either AI or friends) build a modular ship and then engage in battle. Unless you're playing sandbox mode (which is crazy) you will have a limited amount of "component cards" to choose from after each round. For instance, in the start you can build, say, 4 parts onto your ship. The current "cards" may be (2) thrusters, (1) minigun and (1) armor. When you use one to add to your ship, the "card" slot is filled with another random card. You do this until you use up the allowed 4 or until you're finished. This is repeated after each round.
If you lose your ship, you have to restart from the base of your ship. If you survive then you get to continue building on your ship or start a new one. It might sound brutal but the rounds are very quick so it's not like you lose a lot of hard work.
Try it out for yourself, especially if it is on sale!
