Quite the heathy serving of 'statute only moves when you look away' kinda games, with a Talos Principle esq look and/or progression system. Likely was scarier than I'm remembering. This was good and looks it's free, hell.

ːxbosonːːlovebːːlovebːːlovebːːsaikoːːlovebːːlovebːːlovebːːxbosonː ːlovebːːlovebːːsgwːːsgwːːlovebːːsgwːːsgwːːlovebːːlovebː ːlovebːːsgwːːem_heartːːem_heartːːsgwːːcharmspellːːcharmspellːːsgwːːlovebː ːlovebːːsgwːːem_heartːːdaisukiːːatomicalːːkissyouːːcharmspellːːsgwːːlovebː ːlovebːːlovebːːsgwːːlovekami_heartːːkissyouːːlovekami_heartːːsgwːːlovebːːlovebː ːlovebːːlovebːːlovebːːsgwːːlovekami_heartːːsgwːːlovebːːlovebːːlovebː ːlovebːːlovebːːlovebːːlovebːːsgwːːlovebːːlovebːːlovebːːlovebː ːSuit_OnlyːːsgwːːSuit_OnlyːːsgwːːSuit_OnlyːːsgwːːSuit_OnlyːːsgwːːSuit_Onlyː

A series of short mazes with totally nonthreatening 'weeping angels' type enemies. It is very good that they are nonthreatening, because otherwise it would probably just be very frustrating. The flashlight simply does not work, it puts some distracting/nauseating curves on the ground at your feet but does not actually illuminate the environment at all. Very short (<20 minutes). Terrible performance, never makes 90fps with my 980ti, i7, 16GB RAM. I would call out the minimum/recommended specs being totally wrong, but most likely simply nothing could actually run this. Also most likely it could be fairly easily fixed, if the devs weren't MIA. This is one of the few VR games to genuinely make me sick, playing it the first time with motion smoothing turned on. I had to turn off smoothing and just suffer with the terrible FPS to get through it, and there wasn't anything exceptional to make it worth the trouble. Do not buy, even at a dollar or less. Do not play if/when it goes free, unless they fix it.

For a dolar it's a pretty fun game. However I could not finish it because no matter what angle I took to get the purple flame, my candle would not pick it up.

2/10 Couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be doing and nobody told me. Poor graphics and framerate also compound what is a confusing and frustrating experience. DEVS - include a tutorial level.

very short game. nice vibe but not worth the asking price, I was disapointed when it was over and asking myself "is this all there is?" and unfortunatly, it was. I will recommend it, but only because it's a nice game, just really short...did I mention it was short?
Played this on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I was able to play this game on the Oculus, but when I started the game I had this terrible lag in the video. The graphics would be very laggy and just stutter and even shake. Making playing the game almost unbearable. However, I then did a Windows 7 compatibility fix and my major graphical problems were fixed, although the game never ran smoothly. Another problem is the button mapping. You have to press down on the joystick to move forward and backward. Those are your only options. You move forward or backward based on where the candle you hold in your right hand is pointing. So locomotion throughout the game was very frustrating. Unfortunately, the gameplay requires solid movement controls to be enjoyable. Also, the activation of switches can be very tricky and annoying. Sometimes they activated when I didn't want them to and sometimes they didn't completely activate, leading to deaths. I hestitate go give a time estimate on finishing the game. Mostly because of the Windows 7 fix, Steam did not accurately gauge my time finishing the game. But also because of the poor controls and graphical issues, the game took me a lot longer to finish. I estimate I spent 40 minutes on the game. I think more than likely there is only 10 minutes of actual gameplay. There are 5 stages or levels in the game. You're basically supposed to light your candle while avoiding these statutes that follow you when you're not looking at them. If they get too close and you're not looking at them, then it's goodbye time. You use your flashlight to activate some doors. You use your lighted candle to light some altars. The goal is to light every altar and navigate the maze like levels and avoid getting touched by a statute. There's a creepy atmosphere throughout the game. So I obviously spent more time fixing the game than playing the game. More time dealing with the poor controls rather than enjoying the game. But it was only .99 cents. I was surprised by the nice looking environments even though the game ran so poorly that it was difficult to enjoy. You can tell that a lot of time and effort went into making this game. You're not going to find many more games with this much for only .99 cents asking price. So do I recommend? Well, if you're on the Oculus Rift: prepare to be frusrated. The game is probably a lot more enjoyable on the HTC Vive. Rating 5/10 can be fun, if you're willing to put up with all the problems
