Very nice casual game. However, it seems the achievements are not currently working. I definitely have played online games but the achievement for that 'noob' - is not showing up.

Great game - very fun! However, the global achievements do not appear to be working. I played online, beat a higher-ranked opponent but no achievements showing up.

Relaxing casual game. All of Uve's games are great. Try it as a Sunday morning diversion.

A cute little game. Not a whole lot to it. Probably will be suitable for some folks, but personally I'm working on returning it because it just hasn't given me my money's worth, I think.

Game is good, this version is not. Achievements, online and some of the interface is all borked. Fun when it works, which is rare. Avoid.

It reminds me of teris, but it is more relaxed. If you like shapes and pretty flowers, it is a game for you.

Visually lovely, though a bit more cartoony in places than the table top version. However, the game hung part-way through and it has a confusing interface. I've played a fair bit of table-top Cottage Garden and I was excited to try this version. It's cute and relaxing but I didn't find it as engaging as I'd hoped, sadly.

Slightly more complex than the similar 'Patchwork' Digidice had done a great job with yet another non-offensive board game to pull out for your kids or grandma Each player has six boards to fill however, if one player fills all six, any boards you have left unfinished (with less than three 'patches' on it) are disregarded hurting your final score Pots act like patches to fill gaps (and add points to your tally as long as they are not 'patched' over) and (limited) cats can be placed instead of a pot allowing for a second item to be placed with it or the cat can be added to the draw pile to refill an empty section with more patches to select from After each of the six boards is filled you have the opportunity to move one of three markers up a scale to it's end to earn additional bonus points which could turn the tide of the game. The amount of spaces the markers can be moved is determined by how many pots/cats were placed in the finished board. Games run about four times long than a game of Patchwork if using two players But it's a great buy for those starting to get burnt out on Patchwork and want to kick its learnig curve up a notch.

The game itself is fun enough. works ok and looks ok. But there is no working online multiplayer. Developer dont respond to support requests. So do not buy if you are not planing to play this by your own.

The board game format this is based on is AMAZING but this online adaptation is a poor reflection of it. The board game version of this is gorgeous and easy to play. Despite having the exact same rules and 'pieces', this interface was designed in such a way as to be counter-intuitive to play even for someone who knows how to play Cottage Garden. If this was my first exposure to Cottage Garden it would put me off Uwe Rosenberg's amazing games, not encourage me to seek them out. Some specific issues: * Stilted/bulky turns, even when all players online together and playing at same time * No volume scale for music or sound effects or master volume option - just (1) off or (2) blasting your ears (can't talk with friends online and run any game sound at the same time) * Each of the "you need to click this next as part of turn order" is not visually obvious. Easy to think you've finished your turn when in fact everyone else is waiting for you to hit the slightly shadowed bottom right button for 'for real done' * No exit/quit button for the game without having to press Esc key or Alt-Ctrl-Del * Instead of watching players place pieces while they're doing it, you watch an ummoving screen then when the player finishes both they and you watch an animation of what they just did. Can we just watch in real time, please? Like we do in real life when playing the original board game version? * The interface and method for requesting and accepting friend requests not intuitive * Would not be able to fumble through how to play the game without either doing the demo or having played the board game version first. If you can't just jump in and figure it out as you go, or have a 'how to' or 'what comes next' available while playing, it won't be appealing to new users. * No reference materials available while playing if you have questions. Did not see a summary anywhere of rules, turn order, '?", what's next, etc. available on the interface while actively playing the game. * Scroll bar in menu should scroll appreciably, not 1% of the height of the page for each scroll.
