A little bit disapointed that the books are the low res versions. In this digital age, i don't know why they didn't give us the high res versions (or both, like they did with the soundtrack).
The text scales well, no problem reading, but the images suffer from this, unless you're reading on a small screen like a smartphone or ipad (if you don't zoom in).
I've bought this because I'm enjoying the game and backed both kickstarters to support the devs, and I was curious about the books. Since it's two books + soundtrack + concept art, that's a lot of content, so this doesn't sting as much. But be warned, specially if your main interest here are the books, like me.

I am so happy I purchased this. I think, and this is just a personal opinion, that Divinity's presentation is a bit lacking, as someone who has never played any other games based in the same universe, and so I never got hooked into the game's story as much. I finished reaper's eye, the first act of the game, feeling like I never wanted to do it again, I wasn't hooked to the game's narrative, which is usually what I value the most in a game, but was still captivated by the game's many other charms.
Well, buying this dlc provided with a lorebook, a lorebook I read as soon as I completed my purchase and that filled in some gaps that I either missed by not paying enough attention ,because I wasn't hooked, or might have not been explained properly in game, that made me much more captivated with the divinity lore and world. There's a lot of things about the lore that feel odd and confusing to me, but now that they're explained that is part of their charm, I feel involved with this world and I am double as excited to play the game. This experience is probably very unique to me, and people who had a similiar problem as I have, which I assume to be a vast minority, but the fact that just reading the first, like, 60 pages of a lorebook made me twice as interested in the main game, and made me enjoy the experience even more than I already was, fixing the only complaint that I have ever had with the game, or at least the only major complaint, is amazing and just based on that alone I can only recommend this pack.
That, and I think Larian deserves all the support in the world for the quality they keep producing. I do think it would be nicer if the later acts of their games were more polished on release, but they actively patch them, and eventually the game will be feature-complete, one time purchase, no microtransaction, and nothing else. It's wonderful to see, and even though I consider artbooks and digital goodies absolute luxury items for myself, I have no regrets in buying both this and the BG3 digital deluxe edition. Thank you for making amazing games, and amazing digital goodies, Larian!

As of right now I have 9 hours on this game and over 200 hours on Balder Gate 3 and I have to say I like them equally, they both have there pros and cons of course.

For anyone wondering, if reading the Lore book before starting your first playthrough is a good decision or not:
On the very first page of the book it issues a warning about potential spoilers.
I have read the majority of the lore book before I started and it was a nice introduction to the world.
That said, I skipped the "Local Lands Travel Guide and Atlas" and also the "Bestiary" as I was afraid this would have shown too much.
All the previous chapters are fine and only enrich your experience.
So, if you want to be like me and put on your noise-cancelling headphones, listen to the Oblivion soundtrack on spotify and start reading - go ahead!

Mmm. Yes, I'm an idiot. I thought this was an expansion for the game; but instead it's a bunch of wonderful pdfs and music (wav files - haven't checked if they're compressed or not. To be honest I'll probably never listen to them, let alone study the waveform).
Slightly disappointed with myself for not noticing that what I was buying was support and maybe extra cash for the producers of this excellent game.
So, maybe slightly suckered in. Or not. Anyway, it was on sale and they can have my $'s 'cos I can't wait for the next game from this amazing studio.

I bought this strictly on principle. I haven't played a game this good in a very long time.
People can complain endlessly about day 1 dlc's, $50 season passes on release, microtransactions, lying devs, what have you.
At the end of the day, the votes that matter are the ones made with your wallet.

I only purchased this for the map and the principle. Larian Studios has done an outstanding job at creating a spectacular game with loads of (unmodded) customization. Not to mention the ability to mod it. They bring quality content for not even $60. You can't even get that out of AAA titles anymore. Keep up the good work, Larian Studios. You are setting a standard for the rest of not only RPG creators, but game publishers of any genre. Thank you for bringing a second masterpiece along. Thank you for your selfless actions towards this franchise. Most of all, thank you for keeping the community in mind and backing us up just as much as we backed you up.

Grabbed this after completing Larian's MASTERPIECE of a game that is Divinity: Original Sin 2. I've wasted so much money on complete crap AAA games... The heart and soul that you can easily tell Larian POURED into this game made me want to give them my money. They DESERVE it. Thank you Larian for one of the best, if not THE BEST game I've played in the last decade!
