Game is like a tower defense with traps. You have constant income which you can supplement by digging. All traps are single use, grouping up orcs to use explosions seems to be the strategy, although it's pretty hard to get the traps to hit multiple targets. It's not always clear where the orcs are going to path, so placing traps properly is annoying. And they take a long time to set up, so you have to place them way ahead. Decent concept but not really fun to play.

A fake and unfinished product, and can be seen very fast. Graphics and music aren't bad, but there is nothing more better to say. No control instructions, no tutorial. No story: only groups of poor orcs that attacking a castle without any other motive than... to be orcs. Isn't a true Tower Defense game as info tags say in the store page, really is a Time Manager based on traps of single use, and their menu texts are so little that are illegible without a magnifying glass, and isn't a joke. The player get gold from the beginning only just watching how time goes by ( why it dont happens in real world? ) and can dig to find more for replace or emplace more miserable traps or enhanced the castle lifepoints: and thats all. But any interest is totally ruined by the nasty zoom: has been fixed too low, only rotates 90 degrees to left-right; even roll up-down the screen is not easy, and the full map cannot be see. This product is useless even as a gift because the destinatary will think you hate or despise him.

Pros: * Lovely graphics, feels like playing an elaborate tabletop game. Cons: * Lacking basic GUI. No options to pause of fast forward the game. * No tutorial. * Not everything is translated into English. E.g., some traps have been left with their original Russian captions.

Axyos Games are made to be abandonware. Beware. Fake Positive reviews in broken English. NOT Tower Defense. RTS in TD clothing. Some of the descriptions are in Russian(?) but it doesn't matter because they all do the same thing: place object, object kills enemy, object dissapears?! That's real time strat! This seems to me to be an Unreal 4 cash grab with no real mechanics. In the first battle a monster got stuck on the road and staggered caught BETWEEN my traps and the road... a few minutes later he walks a millimeter off the road and around the traps to hit my base. Dissapointed & feel like it's falsely advertising mechanics the game doesn't have. The physics are one-shot and often miss. It's too frustrating to play beyond the first level. Bloons is superior to GoF. Dungeon Warfare achieves what this game cannot in 16-bit and I love it far more. The only thing this game got right is it's name. It certainly is a Failure.

Interesting looking tower defense game that falls really short. The build traps in time mentality is okay, but combine that with make sure the traps are in perfect location in pathway and traps are really only good for one kill unless perfectly placed and timed and you have a tower defense game that comes off as way harder than it has any right to be. This sort of master planning may be appreciated by some but I prefer the idea of laying traps and building upon that as the level goes. Here I just throw a grenade down, hopes it kills enough, than hope that my funds refill in time for me to get something else through a build phase and at the correct position to kill another enemy before they mosey on through to my castle. The digging for treasure mechanic was also a bit time consuming when your pressures to properly place and build are time consuming enough under the conditions you have to endure to survive.
Pros
+ Runs smoothly + Variety of types of traps to set
Cons
- High difficulty - Traps not only have to be placed farther ahead of enemies to hurt them wasting precious time, but also have to be placed perfectly where the enemy will walk. - Digging for treasure mechanic takes away from already valuable time There are some amazing tower defense games out on steam. This one just isn't one of those titles.
Follow my reviews through my curator at Crim's Humble Opinion
