A cute 2D platformer that offers a decent challenge in the later levels. This game has some good level design in my opinion and I had a lot of fun trying to beat it.

Terrible platformer with sluggish controls and unfair level designs where sometimes you can't see where you're supposed to land until you take a leap of faith. Game starts fine, but the difficulty spikes at the last few levels (around 20) with non-intuitive level designs that require pixel-perfect jumps and accurate movements around moving death traps. Character slides off the edge of platforms (developer is unaware of basic game designs required to create a good platformer such as removing round collisions when your rectangular platforms have rounding edges), character movement stutters at any set frame rate (30, 60, 144, or unlimited fps) and offers uninteresting visuals.

It's a pretty standard platformer with an annoying sliding mechanic that slides you off the edge, which makes the game a lot harder than it should be, especially at the later levels. The game has multiple soundtracks which is nice as the music doesn't get boring, although it would be been great if I were able to switch the music or not having the music reset whenever you die as this gets irritating pretty quickly when you have died as much as I have.
I've spent more than twice the amount of time on the last five levels than the first twenty which took what little fun I had out of the game. While it's not a bad game, it's not something I enjoyed, especially the last few levels.

Hoo-Boy is a classic platforming game that looks very casual, but gradually becomes very, very hard in the later levels. There is a lot of timing and precision jumping in the later levels of this game.
If you're an achievement hunter looking for an easy 100%, or you get frustrated easily from difficult games, this isn't for you. Otherwise, keep reading:
The gameplay isn't anything to write home about: You jump on platforms and springs, avoid obstacles(including moving ones), and collect coins. There are no special moves, just left/right and regular jump. You also have full control of your horizontal movement while in the air, which is something I found the game actually took into consideration in a couple of levels, in how they designed the challenges.
Can be played with either keyboard or controller. I played with keyboard for 5/6 of the game, but did switch to controller for the final part(mainly because I just got one), and I found it to be slightly easier to control, but not a world of difference. The gameplay is responsive, even if the controls and movement set are both very minimalistic.
It's possible to unlock a couple of different characters, and even some cosmetics, though I feel most of that comes so late in the game that you won't actually get to experience those a lot before the game is done anyway. One of the extra characters is necessary to get all of the coins, if you're a completionist or achievement hunter.
This feels sort of like "baby's first game", but for that it's rather polished and good. I definitely enjoyed myself most of the time(though I found one particular level to be a bit over the top in difficulty). I could find absolutely nothing special or unique about this game, but that doesn't mean it's a bad game either. It's a bit rinse and repeat - and a lot of games are.
All in all, it's decent enough game that it's worth paying for(at least on sale) and playing, if you enjoy 2D platformers with a bit of a challenge.
100% in 5 hours. (Someone better at platformers could probably get through it faster.)

I feel bad I never reviewed this. This is a very cheap, well maintained/improved little 2d platformer. Nothing mind blowing but it has some clever level designs and is a quite pleasant speedrun.

Hoo-Booy this game was a fun one. Really enjoyed the super mario bros feel to this game's atmosphere. 10/10 for a short, but delightful experience.

Just some kind of horror, collision is very broken, the control is disgusting, some levels are unrealistically difficult and some have broken finishes and you have to start over, how do you need to hate the players to create this, free browser platformers are many times better

Is it worth the money? Nah, not really at full price.
This is a very basic, straight forward little game. A bit of jumping is all that is needed really. No bosses, puzzles or tricky spots. Its a relaxing little game with emphasis on little. I think it took me about 20 mins to 100% complete with all achievements.
I still recommend this game since there is nothing wrong with a straight forward, cute little game as long as you don't expect too much when buying.

Woo, boy where do I begin. First off I love this game. It's a simplistic and fun platformer where you play as a piece of candy collecting coins and then getting to the finish line of each level. The first few levels are super easy and each gets progressively harder.
Some levels have some unique obstacles and some even have secret collectibles to unlock hats for your candy.
You can even unlock different candies and even a pot of coffee to play as with enough coins collected.
The best thing to do is unlock the smaller blue candy and then play as it, since it's smaller size can avoid saws and obstacles a little better and the blue candy can fit into smaller areas the others can not. And plus... it's blue!
For seasoned platform gamers like myself, this is a bit easy at points but also can be very challenging. It shouldn't take you too long to beat this game for the most part.
That being said... screw up the butt with a red hot fire iron whoever designed freaking level 22. -.- I HATE level 22... I spent at least 2 to 2 1/2 hours of my total play time just trying to beat that damn stage. IDK why but 22 is the hardest out of the 25 levels. I was so relieved when I finally beat 22. with that damn perfect timing jump between two damn fish and a saw after the first coin.
Regardless, this game is well worth the full price of $1.99. I got it on sale at 49 cents however and it's amazing.
If you're into retro style 2D platformer games, then this is a great addition to your library.
And so long as you don't get stuck on level 22 for as long as I did, it should only take you about an hour or two to complete this game fully with all achievements and unlockables.
Def give this one a go!
