This was the game that started one of the most underrated yet fun and original games ever. So why do I not recommend it? Well, I'd say that it's really outdated after every game that came after made good improvements and more dynamic game.
So you play as a team of 4 worms, and your goal is to eliminate the enemy teams using different weapons such as bazookas, grenates or missiles. That's it. And as I said, the game feel too clunky after playing Armageddon, W.M.D or World Party.
Visually I'd say it's mediocre. The scenarios look good for a 30 years old game, but the characters look like someone designed them with Paint.
The music is nostalgic, I can't say anything bad about same. Same for the voices of the worms.
I don't think it worths paying 6€ for the game, since you have limited content compared to newer games. During sales the price drops to 1,5€. If you don't have problems paying that for a game to play alone it's OK, but I wouldn't recommend it.
I won't trash talk about a game that defined a franchise that marked my childhood, but I'd say it's difficult to enjoy it when the newer games are more complete and friendly with new gamers
