I absolutely love this game. It is so addicting with breath taking graphics and the perfect amount of stressful management with a cute story too! That all being said the game is unplayable, it constantly crashes. I've heard many other people have this issue and its super disappointing considering how fun the game is. If they actually fixed their game I would consider this game as one of my favorite management games yet as said before, don't get this game until they fix it.

I really want to like this game, but the building mechanics are way too complicated and glitchy. Wasn't even able to complete the tutorials.

This game is definitely recommended for players who are just trying to pass some time or want to be invested in something for a long time. I find myself spending countless hours at my desktop creating my own zoo and letting my creative side free, and making my own franchise to flourish. The story-line is also very well thought out, and entertaining.

If you grew up playing Zoo Tycoon then this is definitely the game for you. It is basically the spiritual successor of it and lives up to that name very well. Before we go any further though let me give a basic rundown of what this game is. You get to live your dreams of owning and building your very own Zoo and managing the park, people, and animals. If you do go into this game expecting Zoo Tycoon you'll be mistaken cause this game follows a more Planet Coaster sort of vibe. The creativity this game expresses is pretty much limitless and allows you to do all sorts of things in terms of building habitats/enclosures or structures. All the DLC currently is pretty much worth it in my opinion since it gives you a wide variety of animals and building materials to work with. Since there is also a workshop you can see other players creations and use some of their work too if you're not too into the building aspect of the game. Overall, Planet Zoo is a very well crafted game and the graphics are amazing.

its not a bad game and I will play it, but whoever designed the fence/pathways placement system, has never played videogames. It is so annoying and more challenging it has to be to build a nice zoo, because its very difficult to get the pathways to be straight or to snap to fencing. The game would have needed a proper building grid system.
Its really also disgusting how bad and difficult it is to build the transport network across the zoo area. It is almost impossible to get the rails to go into the desired direction, I feel.

Probably one of my all time favorite games - if it even counts as a game. There is a bit of a learning curve, so new players will probably be a bit overwhelmed simply from creative possibilities when they first start out. Take it slow and embrace "mistakes" as even real life zoos have quirks and imperfections. As for overall play, I've ended up with pretty much every DLC simply because it's kinda fun having different animals out doing their own thing, especially for those of us that blend "realistic" with "this zoo has literally everything." If you're the creative type that likes "figuring things out," having the occasional distraction watching animals frolicking about, and have a lot of extra time to really obsess over details, this is the perfect game.

Definitely my favourite simulation. The amount of customization and possibilities is stunning and even though the path system drives me crazy sometimes this is one of few games I came back to regularly because I enjoy it so much.

A very fun game overall. It is actually my most played game on Steam as of right now. I'm a kid and wanna be zoologist when I grow up. This has made me realize that even more! Thanks Frontier!
