What's here is very pretty and interesting. Unfortunately, something strange happened about an hour into my first playthrough. I had been having a great time following the story and admiring the beautiful designs. Suddenly the narrative took an intense turn and the plot really seemed to pick up. I was so excited to see what was about to happen when suddenly a new character appeared, said a few words, and everything went dark before the credits rolled. I was so confused as to what glitch had occurred that caused the game to crash right when it was getting good. But sadly, after scouring the internet for other people's playthroughs I realized that it didn't crash. That really was the "ending" of this game. It was only after digging a little deeper that I realized that this is NOT a complete game. It is only the first game in a trilogy that never got made.
I got this game on sale for a dollar, and in its current state I think that's what it's worth. If the other two games in the series had been made then I'm sure it would've been worth more. But sadly, this game by itself is nothing more than a lot of build up and world establishment for a really interesting story that the player will never get to see.

I really wanted to like this but I'm very disappointed in it. Paid $5 and feel like I should have been paid instead for bothering to try it. Wouldn't recommend it even on it's current $1 sale.
The fairy tale portions are OK story and pretty decent voice acting. But that's about it. It's very short ~ 1- 2hrs depending if you want to search for all the drawings (I'm missed a few and couldn't care less).
The detail and world interactions are minimal. The controls are some of the most awkward I've seen: (look down and "point" to see footsteps to teleport), unclear interaction points and button triggers, no in game listing of controls, the absolute worst audio player (and that's a common interaction in VR) using arbitrary stick directions, no rotation mechanism, etc.
The description and reviews read like a very short Myst with a more relatable story. It isn't. That hype matches the actual game even less well than the initial release of No Man's Sky.
"Explore and find all the pieces of the story in order to expose the truth."
- I'm missing a few, but there's no real plot. Just some dis-jointed musings. "expose the truth" implies some degree of "who done-it" that doesn't exist.
"What is really happening here?"
- Nothing really. There's some hand-waving at something bigger but nothing to make the player care about it.
"Things are not always what they seem at first sight. You might miss clues and secrets if you are in a hurry. Clues and secrets that could save you down the road."
- What do we need saved from in the first place?
"Complex worlds with lots of secrets to uncover"
- What? A few drawing and notes is hardly "secrets" and these worlds were basically a tiny path or room with about as basic a visual detail as you can be and have standard "realistic" graphics.
"Exploration, puzzles and play drive the narrative forward"
- Sorry, a few arbitrary connect the dots (literally), a couple "find" the macguffin, arrange the scene cards (basically guess half and the others are obvious), basic riddle with multiple choice aren't "puzzles". Nor is this really a true exploration even of the level of Pollen or Wake the Glares (neither I recommend either).

I wanted to like this game, but there just doesn't seem to be anything likning with anything else. As a narrative experience, it doesn't make much narrative sense. As a puzzle game, it is trial and error much of the time and the puzzles don't fit together into a coherent whole. The game is ultimately very frustrating. For example, I worked on a puzzle so that I could "enter the forest" and encounter "monsters," but after completing it, I am transported back to the house where I appear to be following footsteps, except the footsteps don't go anywhere remotely connected with the next puzzle or the next piece in the story.
This is ultimately perplexing and not fun.
Also, at less than 90 minutes it is way too short.

It was a nice game and i really enjoyed playing it even though i was not a fan of the ending or dropping your whole inventory when changin places.
Some should be aware thet the lightning in the game could cause headache. Haven't seen someone mentioning getting one ,but i most certainly experienced it after walking around in the darkness with just one small lightning source.

OK, I will not try to spoil any thing for people. This experiance is an unique blend of a book, a dream, art, and several puzzles. After my first play through, that was over a few after work nights of play time, I want more. Yes, I had a few learning curves, however, this did nothing to distract from it in any way. If you are looking for action, this may not be for you. If you like a good fantasy book, this is recommended. Bring your thinking caps too, I completed in 5 Hours, with the progress showing 79%. I belive I will be trying for 100% soon.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
Very conflicted on whether to vote yes or no recommendation on this one. It's not a bad game per se, but I didn't have any fun playing it although there were some nice moments where you could see the potential in this game. Mostly what I felt was frustration. Two gameplay issues were very difficult to ignore.
The first issue is the teleportation system this game has. It has to be one of the worst teleportation setups in any VR game. When you press trigger it shows these footsteps and then you're supposed to let go and you're transported. Except there's so many times where you can't see the footsteps or they disappear before you can teleport.
The other issue is just the overall clunkiness the game has. For example, by default on the Oculus, everything is facing sideways from the menu. So even though you can teleport, you'll probably need at least a small roomscale setup because you're usually facing the wrong way to the action for reaching stuff. Grabbing objects is sometimes hit or miss and yes objects disappear. You can see this even on the full playthrough featured on the store page.
There are some nice moments in the game. I thought the storybook parts of the game were interesting and wanted more of that. However, the puzzles were not interesting. One of the puzzles is actually cleaning your room (picking up alphabet blocks and putting them inside the box). However, several other of the puzzle were just obtuse, like figuring out what to spell out.
So even though this may seem like a kid's game, the puzzles and clunkiness will probably prevent most kids from actually being able to progress without an adult telling them what to do. The game feels like a sandbox game where you can just mess around and discover things, but it's overall clunkiness just stops you from enjoying that and usually you're just left wondering where to go next in the dark. Was that the point of this game? Seems like an odd choice.
So the game is on sale now for $2.49 so there's not a high threshold to like. I actually paid $4.49 USD for this and feel like that's too much for what it is. But at $2.49 I guess you can deal with the clunkiness and at least there's the walkthrough on the store page to guide you when you get stuck. Personally, I didn't bother finishing the game.
Sale Price Rating 5/10. Nuetral recommendation.

I'm about a third of the way through, but man, what a wonderful, elegant little game. There's heart and soul in this one - and I've enjoyed basking in it.
Plus, it's full of clever little mechanics. Very atmospheric. Well worth the time and the money.

A game that captures the whimsy of your favorite childhood fairytale, with some dark undertones. There's some really beautiful storytelling going on here, and a lot of attention to detail in the environment. Gameplay is light, but helps carry the story effectively.
Really my biggest negative on the game is that it's very short. I got through a playthrough in about an hour (I don't rush). Yes, I understand theres probably a some more different things to discover on a second playthough, which I definitely intend to do. However, I think it's really important to support companies that are making projects like this so they can continue to grow and get better. This game is a little rough around the edges, but its obvious how much the studio cares about what they're doing and I will look forward to the next two parts. Support this game!

to be clear, the bar for me with good vr games is "chair in a room, paranormal activity, the gallery eps1 and 2, and the early demo of Nevrosa. These are all games which i will glady recomend to anyone
this game is fantastic, music is incredible too.
The world it puts u in feels like a mix of where the wild things are with pans labyrynth and a lion witch and the wardrobe.
u will not be dissapointed
for a first delve into vr games bravo to the dev team
