One of my favourite HOPA series. Likeable characters, fair puzzles, good HOG scenes, decent story (that continues from one game to the next), even romance and a likeable helper. If you enjoy HOPAs, this series is a good one.

This sixth entry in the Witches' Legacy series is better than entries two to five, but still doesn't get a thumbs up from me. The improvement is in gameplay: more intricate and challenging point-and-click puzzles. Unfortunately, it's the same concept as previous games (except the first Witches' Legacy), which means that most of the puzzles are "magical" and make no real-world sense and deduction won't help you. As an example, in one puzzle you light a censer with flower oil, which stimulates a magical pyramid, which releases ... a necklace. Makes sense, right? ;) Also unfortunately the story is as bad as any of the previous games, possibly worse. Remarkably there are practically no characters in this game, they are just one-dimensional props for the puzzles. Have the writers just given up entirely?

Lynn and Edward have been happily married for some time and have built a museum dedicated to Lynn’s brother Tom. However, Lynn is sucked into a portal just before the dedication, and Carrie (the MC from the earlier volumes) is placed into a catatonic state. Edward (your character this time) must now find a way to the Otherworld and rescue Lynn… perhaps from the dark destiny that has always hung over her. The plot is engaging, the HO scenes fun, and the minigames challenging. Get in the bundle.

The newest game in the series as of January 2020. Lynn is possessed by evil and compelled to become the next Witch Queen. Can Edward stop the coronation before Lynn becomes tainted forever? Another strong game in the excellent Witches' Legacy series. Pros: - beautiful art - good voice acting (improved over previous for Edward and Lynn) - fully interactive map (including collectables) and integrated walk-through guide - lots of puzzles and HO scenes - very nice music (some tracks are too short, though) - a good story (for this genre) Cons: - story feels rushed toward end especially in bonus chapter - puzzles have gotten too easy (a couple felt pointless, not enough challenges) - the first main HO scene is too odd and revisited too often - less coherent world building (too many things seem completely random, compared to previous chapters) Overall: entertaining and a very decent length, especially for the price; I still highly recommend this series! Slightly less engaging than earlier entries in the series, for me.
