Decentely priced DLC, with some interesting variations in ships design. Compliments the existing fleet balance without undermining it (no pun intended).

The Janus Class is one of my new favorites honestly, and the Berzerk is a righteous monster solely for those squadron buffs... goddamn. The Cylon vessels are a mixed bag, while the cerestes is a fucking menace (especially to early-game captial ships) the Phobos recieved a pretty harsh nerf to it's usability following it's inital release. The end result is a warship that trys to be a jack-of-all-trades but honestly can't do much beyond hack and also launch a single squadron. A Talon and a Nemesis are both cheaper and more effective, as they both play into their roles.

The Berzerk is one the the first ships you can get and serves as a cheaper version of the Adamant, minus the ordinance option. And the Janus is a heavily armored monster with forward/bottom guns that has three ordinance slots. Haven't touched mines. Good stuff.

A nice ship pack if you want more ship variery, albeit it's completely optional and skippable (any ship in the pack can be replaced by using ships from base game). It's worth to grab on -50% a sale, otherwise worth to skip. Beserk - glass cannon, too fragile for my taste and Adamants are more flexible. Janus - durable brinck with 3x missile slot, but standard reload time makes Ranger rapid reload 2x missile much more useful. Phobos - weird thing is, that I never saw it jump during campaign, without it it's really unmemorable. Cerastes - one and only ship that adds much to the game, plug anti-fighter hole in Cylon fleet. Without it, the game would be too easy as my Vipers would be able to operate with inpunity.

The Janus maybe one of my favourite ships they added to the game, purely for fitting it with every nuke I can cram into launch bays and then unleashing it upon the toasters. Glorious.

I think that this is a good update, was initially hesitant as I was holding out for campaign expansion not just a ship pack, but the ships are truely different and interesting and the DLC isn't greedily priced. In practice I think I like the Cylon ships better than the colonial ones in this pack, while true both sides seem to have a new ship that's an odd build off of an existing one and one truely original I just find the Cerastes more useful than any of the others. I do like the Phobos as well, its basically a Nemisis that has fighters. The Berzerk is essentially the Ademant without missiles and less Armor but way more firepower, I don't see it as strong enough to really be a ship of the line like the Ademant so I guess its best used as a support vessle under the protection of a battlestar's flack screen. I have not used the Janus that much but it really seems like the colonial counterpart to a Cylon Arachnie, I have the sneeking suspicion that it could be used to good effect but I havn't played around with it enough to develop a strategy with it. I think this is fine, I really like the Cylon ships and frankely it's not priced bad I just don't want the steady release of increasingly lackluster ships at $4.99 pricepoints to become the norm. The dev team have already impressed me a lot with how this game has been refined since launch day but there's still alot to do, I'm willing to put down money for worthwile DLCs like this but what I really want is a Cylon Campaign or an expansion into the 2nd Cylon war.

You get two ships for the colonials and two ships for the cylons. It's worth 5 bucks if you really like this game already but if you're not a battlestar galactica nerd to start with, you probably won't even notice much difference.

This is good, don't get me wrong. Its problem is that it feels like it was barely unfinished when the game launched, and so it was sold as DLC later. On sale, or not it's still a good buy.

How to be totally op in battles where Daidalos is present without any extra cost in 6 steps: 1. purchase this DLC 2. unlock the Janus Cruiser asap 3. unlock the nuke asap 4. build only Janus Cruisers for your main fleet (and a battlestar just for the lulz, 'cause inferior garbage here...) 5. equip only nukes to all ships and see the opponent go down in 21 (19) apocalyptic explosions without ever needing to switch on your brain for something useless like strategizing... 6. profit!

Having downloaded the Firestorm Update, then looking hard at this pack I at first decided to wait. But then, having played a lot of "W40K Armageddon", "Sanctus Reach" and "Battlefleet Gothic Armada" recently I have become a lot more tactical in my battle planning than of recent times. So I played a round of "BSG: Deadlock" and knew I just needed the DLC (I lost two ships by not avoiding an asteroid the size of a small moon...so I began to plan more effecitively). Since then I have restarted the Campaign, making much better decisions than before and have the new ships already being built to add to my main fleet. This then frees up a couple of other ships to form their own fleet away from Daedalos to defend systems threatened by Toaster incursions, as the new ships are really designed as fleet enhancers. All-in-all, with the price tag it's a must-have for any commander who loves the tactical planning in this game, and the weighing up of assets against enemy assets. "What should I do to defend this system? Leave Daedalos Shipyard and a small fleet in the base system, or carry Daedalos into missions with enhanced fleets protecting it?" Both have their risks and that makes the Campaign map exciting. **Don't like the idea of Cylons enacting mid-battle short FTL jumps, but then that's them isn't it, sneaky buggers.
