I honestly enjoyed the game! I loved the gritty atmosphere of the story and the dark fantasy! There was a lot of lore and it's easy to get lost. I definitely want to do another playthrough at some point. Combat wasn't the worst and I got used to the mechanics. The art style was beautiful and I liked most of characters! If you enjoyed the Banner Saga, you should give this game a chance! Solid 7/10.

Absolutely phenomenal story, gameplay, art style, music. Clearly a spiritual successor to Banner Saga. It even references it at multiple points. The story started off a bit edgy and it was hard to get attached to the characters, but as the game progressed I was absolutely gripped. It seems like there's a lot of possibility for things to happen. This is one of the few games where I wasn't always sure what the right option was, much like Banner Saga. That being said, I have a couple complaints. The gameplay was a bit too easy towards the end, but I didn't mind too much because I was here for the story, and it was fun to watch everyone get more powerful. Also there were several moments that were unreasonably punishing for making choices that there was no clear answer. One choice gets your whole party killed, and I still have no idea how to get the good ending which is a first because I'm usually pretty thorough. At the same time, this is the first game that got me to get the bad ending on accident. It makes me want to replay to see what I may have missed.
