I want to recommend this game. It's actually fantastic. Very fun to play. The AI difficulty levels means it stays fresh.
Unfortunately, since the game never got popular, I think the developer abandoned it. There is a game-breaking bug where 'garrisoned cards' don't work, meaning if you try to use the Reinforcement system, your card stops working. The AI can still use theirs, but the UI is borked for the player. One other reviewer said the game would crash, but it doesn't anymore. It just makes any card you garrison stop working and become unusable/unclickable.
The developer doesn't appear to be around. I've tried to contact him, but no dice. I'm still going to recommend the game because it's quite fun, but in a hesitant "only if you see an update fixing this issue at some point after I post my review."
It's a fun card game. There is a lot of predictive strategy involed. The strategies vary. Sometimes you play for gold, other times culture, war, or taking all the good upgrade buildings to cripple your opponent, etc.
It has local multiplayer, but no LAN or WAN. I'd love to play this game with a friend or two but they have to be in the same house.
Hmm.
8-9/10.

It's a pretty decent deckbuilder. The many systems are clear and no more convoluted than they need to be, and work together to make a game where you have many things you can consider during your turn.
It's a bit glitchy though, with a few little fatal bugs here and there.

This is an excellent game, probably the best deck-builder I have ever played. It feels like a hybrid of Ascension and Thunderstone, without feeling totally derivative. Unfortunately, the game is rather unstable in its current state. The garrison area is a central part of the late game, but using the right-click menu to garrison a hero causes a crash a majority of the time, though you can drag a hero to the garrison area without a problem. There are a few other stablity issues where the AI will crash the game, but those are less frequent (maybe 10-15% of the time). The UI is also a bit clunky.
Edit: I haven't seen any crashes since the last patch, but there are a few little problems like one or two cards not giving their bonuses after defeat and some UI issues.
