The soldier in the mine is a puzzle platformer that's well, comprised of a soldier, who finds himself in a mine, full of dangers like saws, spikes, and turrets.
The game has 15 levels, ranging in difficulty, where you have to reach the next door in order to pass the level, whilst using the environment to your advantage, especially the use of crates, to reach certain areas, or keep you protected from turrets.
The level design is really wonky and inconsistent, the same can be said for the physics. Sometimes you can get stuck to ledges which prevents you from moving without jumping. The game just isn't fun to play through, and you don't even need to beat all 15 levels to get all the achievements, oh and there's a bunch of achievement spam too, which can really slow down certain PCs with how many achievements pop up for simply completing a level.
Overall, the game offers some unique ideas, but isn't fun to play at all and you would be better off spending your money elsewhere, especially at the price the game is offered at. Get it on sale if you're an achievement hunter.
