I guess at one point this game was going for $40 which caused some negative reviews, and no this game is not worth $40 at least not if you're playing mostly solo. Devs seems to agree so at $20 it's an easy recommendation. Crazy to me that a VR game with solid performance, decent graphics, free locomotion, quality 90s Fear Factory inspired soundtrack, and a pretty wicked leash system (for weakened enemies) is sitting on Mixed reviews. On a 50% sale this is an absolute steal but it's worth it at $20. There's even destructible environments / cover and I can't even think of another VR game pulls that off as well as this one does. And sure the story is goofy and by-the-numbers but if you're playing sci-fi VR shooters (that aren't HL: Alyx) for the story then you're gonna have a bad time. This game bangs and needs far more exposure. Will at least watch for more from these dvs.

Great game, especially if you have a friend to play with. Like Space Pirate trainer, but with free locomotion and proper campaign. Pretty short though, just completed campaign in coop on highest difficulty in 3 hours. If it had like 2 more campaigns in different settings/with new enemies, and 4 player coop (instead of 2) it would be a perfect arcadish VR shooter.

Literally crashes after a minute. Impossible to play. Devs are silent on the issue despite a lot of people having it.

Let me start it like this: I got the game on sale for like $5 (100% worth it on sale by any means) I have the Meta Quest 2 and I was/am using the wireless mode. My Pc is also low end especially by vr standars (it says I am missing requirements). This is a great game. It feels as if I was dropped in the middle of a borderlands map mixed with destiny 2 vibes. The controllers are not that bad at all. I have only played the first two missions so far as the medic and I am using the locomotion option with snap rotation. It really is great. I am still getting used to Vr in the first place and I recommend this game.

This game was such a fun experience - I loved the gameplay, the combat, and the overall feel from start to finish! The music though - omg dev team come on WHO SAID YOU COULD MAKE THE MUSIC GO THIS HARD!? <3 I actually turned the music up like 20% higher than the rest of the volume 'cause once that fight music kicks in the gameplay really takes off and shines IMO. There are a few things I would have loved to see like, an ability to sprint, a dash to the left / right / back to help dodge attacks, maybe even a moment of invulnerability during this dash just to help level the playing field. Few wants aside - I really enjoyed this game, I thought it looked visually fantastic, handled exceptionally (Quest 2 linked to PC played via Steam), and was just a blast. The game was a tad short, I dialed in about 3 hours, but there is a bunch of replayability especially if you go in with friends - enjoy! Thanks Archiact for such a VR gem.

An uninspired, short, dead, co-op shooter with power-ups that do nothing interesting, around 5 enemy types and the nuisance of having to keep your left arm up at all times to block shots from enemies. None of the weapons are fully automatic and there is no reloading. This means that on top of having to keep your left hand up and moving constantly you also have to repeatedly squeeze the trigger. This kind of gameplay works but I never really felt that the shield was anymore effective than simply using the left hand to siphon health power ups and healing through all incoming fire. I can't help but feel like games like this are tricks. They know that most people don't want to play wave shooter so they just add some walking. I beat the game but I don't remember anything memorable in any of the levels and besides bosses, they never seemed to introduce new enemy types after the first few stages. This game would have been better had it had unlockable weapons, an XP system and inspired enemy designs and levels. This would be impressive in an arcade as someones first exposure to VR and the game is probably much better in Co-op in that setting, but as a single player game its a repetitive slog with only two characters who are conveniently never shown on screen. To understand how silly this is, one level has you freeing people but you don't see them once in the entire game. At the end I expected to at least meet the talking heads you hear over radio chatter but it just rolls credits and goes back to the menu. This game is worth about 5 dollars so get it on sale if you want to play for the challenge or have someone to suffer through it with.

This is definitely not worth 40$ in my book. I got the game for 35, and still returned it. This is a glorified wave shooter not a full on gaming experience. I will say that what is there is fun, but there is no real weapon or character progression. The game play is bland and verry same-y. The campaign is pretty shot from what i've played and the game had a hard time running on my beast of a rig. All in all if you can get it for 15-20 buck its fine but if I paid a full 40 and was wanting a real game, id be pissed after the first hour.

Excellent performance, medium lenght storyline (~4hs) excellent voice acting, audio and fun gameplay. This game feels like it has great production value all around, the coop is very easy to host and join games (no mid level joining though) I played this game a couple of times with my son in coop and its been a blast, the mechanics are simple, but they mix them up a bit to keep things interesting... As the enemies are robots, there is no blood and although violent, id say its family friendly. BUT the game does feel a bit on the "simple" side, and does get a bit repetitive, in my opinion because you are forced to use the same weapon the whole level. (you choose before starting) The weapons are fun but would have loved the ability to mix it up mid level. and they are all similar, so there is no variation there. There are a bunch of enemy types and bosses that then turn into midlevel bosses, the setpieces are cool when they happen. Some VR veterans will wont like the simpleness, but i recommend it because of it. It is the perfect game so my wife and kid played can play together and dont ask my help. And they both had a blast, sure i would like more complexity overall, but i also liked the simplicity, enemies, bad, destroy them all.

I'm recommending this but I have a vive pro with a wireless and have a slight issue. This error is not confirmed but the only way to launch this on my setup is having the vive wireless on, steamvr off, and launching the game from the library vr or regular launcher. It then autoactivated my steamVR and was able to play in VR. THE QUALITY IS THERE FOLKS! DIVE IN. It has 3 ways of locomotion, teleporting, etc. Graphics can be configured to your liking., it is top quality.

Good game, but lacks content, there are only 4 guns! Ive expected some rpg elements, but its just arcade shoot em up, im 30 minutes in and already finished 2 or 3 chapters of total 9! So campaign lasts for aprox 2 -3 hours if you are not dying constantly (in coop game is quite easy) This game have potential, just add more unlockable guns/classes etc. I dont understand why there are only 9 chapters, they dont seem too detailed, more like procedurally generated, just add more levels, add some goal for us to pursue (unlocks, leveling up, anything!) TL DR If you like Space Pirate Trainer this is your game, else - you can pass or wait for sale (def worth if you got it with good discount) Solid game with lacking content 6.5/10 (if you will add rpg elements and procedurally generated missions i would give it solid 8 or 9 of 10)
