motion sickness simulator. Unplayable for me.

It is generaly fun game although I did get slightly motion sick after playing for about 10 mins.

I got this game on sale for a few bucks (I think $2). It is very simple and you basically are attempting to get out of a maze. This is a good game for someone attempting VR for the first time, especially if they are not used to "free locomotion" which can cause motion sickness. It took me maybe 10 minutes to get through the first maze and I took every possible route just mapping the level out. Since the mazes are randomly regenerated the replay value is high, but there is not much to do but "get out the maze."

Five bucks? Yeah, no. There's nothing wrong with this idea, nor even the rank simplicity of the experience. A autogenerated maze in VR, with some tools and destructible walls, is fine, just fine. The problem is it looks like utter skunch. For those of you not hip to the latest lingo, 'skunch' is a gray blob of congealed lunch meat that ships the same shape can that canned spam comes in. Don't worry, it is a fictional product, it doesn't exist. I hate 'downvoting' indie VR games, but unfortunately can't offer any recommendation for this. If it were actually in EA and not abandoned I'd probably feel differently, as this certainly has hints of promise, but even then it would need a lot of additional content to be worth paying for.

Gameplay with crowbar is fun, didn't finish any maze to the exit yet. It has great potential, but I want a bit more content here and no rules or tutorial for now, so you have to figure it out yourself.
English
Interesting concept. Unique ideas: breakable and paintable walls. Apart from that is very simple. Recommended only if you are a fan of the labyrinth.
Español
Concepto interesante. Ideas únicas: paredes destruibles y pintables. Aparte de eso es muy simple. Recomendado sólo si eres aficionado a los laberintos.

First of all, I want to say that I really like labyrinths with its atmosphere of obscurity and mystery, so my interest in this game is very clear. I'm not a fan of VR games, in my opinion most of them are lack of gamedesign. But it's not about this one. You are alone with Darkness. You have only one perfectly clear aim - find an exit! Hardly ever have I seen such an impressive embodiment of labyrintn. It's hard to describe, because you are really need to feel it themselves. I can only say that it's like being alone in dark labyrinth :^) I don't really want to speak about lack of gameplay features and such things, because hey it's early access! I dunno which way developers will choose. It can be something like SCP or mysterious story about living labyrith or even greek labyrinth of Minotaur. There are really a lot of cool variants, and just I can't stand to wait! Summarizing, I'm pleased that I helped developers at there first stages. Even this early access version worth it. So, great idea, exiting core mechanics and a lot of potential. What are you waiting for?

Making your way through the maze is only one of the challenges in this game. There is a flashlight permanently in your left hand, so you are immediately presented with an inventory challenge. I had no problem with the teleportation movement. This makes the game possible with a small play area, but not ideal. Walking through the silent, dark halls feels incredibly creepy. The size of the halls is just large enough to feel expansive, and the vision distance just far enough to remind you of the size of the maze you're trapped in. Without music the experience gets pretty tedious.
I can't be sure, but during my last playthrough I think the flashlight started to flicker. The level of creepyness proved too much for me and I had to immediately exit VR.
Just finished my first maze. I had fun. It's a simple concept, but I was entertained getting out of this procedurally generated VR maze. The only useful tool I had was a marker. I used it to draw arrows on the areas with different paths. Then I randomly chose one of the paths and if it had different paths as well, then I would draw more arrows. If one of the paths ended up a dead end, I would mark it as such. If the path had a switch, I would also mark that. Eventually, I ended up at the exit. However, I still needed one more switch. Luckily, I was able to find that last switch quickly.
It took me about 25 minutes to complete the first random maze. I was taking my time to take in the game. I may try not using the marker next time just to see if it's possible
The graphics are not the best. Most of the walls and areas look the same. Of course, that's why you need the marker. But I would have preferred at least some variety to the maze. You also have a flash light, but honestly, I don't think it was needed. Seemed like an unnecessary tool in your hand (for now). Maybe there should be a setting to lower brightness so that the flashlight becomes necessary. I had no problems with nausea with motion controller joystick movement, but I imagine some people will complain about this as they always do. I haven't seen the crowbar tool yet, but I imagine that's just random chance of getting either the marker or the crow bar tool. Just wanted to give a positive recommendation based on the price and the fun I had doing the maze. Wish list for this game: 1. Multiple floors, more detail in the world, more items 2. Traps; for example, avoiding being caught on camera (they exist but don't do anything in game) or else guards come; 3. Different environments (example: garden maze) 4. Survival mode (you have to find exit, but also hide from guards or monsters while doing so) Current Rating 6/10 fun game, nice start, could easily rate higher with more content
