Played Memoff 8, 1, then this. Everything is an upgrade from Memoff 1. The writing is surprisingly good, 1 of the better ones i have read among VNs in recent years. As always, music from Abo Takeshi never disappoints. If you only have time for 1 route, make it Hotaru or Shizuru. But if u plan on doing everything, make Hotaru the last one, save the best for the last.

VN used to have souls, they talk to your heart not to your eyes. They had decent classic music playing for the right scene; they had perfect CVs for the right characters which made the characters feeling so real to you; they had profound content that made you take some time thinking outside of the game. Despite this game looking so outdated by today’s visual standards, it’s good at every way that none of today’s eye candies could dare to compare. I have literally no interests to play any VNs to finish for as long as the last decade despite I’ve brought many. Because there’s few of them which is good enough comparing to those who were born at the golden era of VNs(1998-2008)including this franchise. Have you ever heard of うちこし こうたろう？ This game is his master piece in his early career, when I started following him. One of the most mature visual novels I've ever played. The story is about the breakdown of a relationship because of the protagonist's lack of direction and satisfaction in life, and his fear of the future. The game is dramatic without being melodramatic. All of the characters are believable people. If you want a solid slice of life romance with a great plot, you've hit the jackpot.
