The game is good but super short. It took me 2 hours to beat, and it was great all the way through. So i was a bit disappointed when everything ended as i was hoping for more contents. However, i don't regret playing this. Just be aware.

Wow, a little surprised at the polish and care taken with this game. Graphically looks really nice, and has atmosphere by the bucketful. Controls work well, if a little basic. Combat could use a little more sophistication. but the story, pacing, and general gameplay are all produced with care.
But lets face it , the likely buyer is one who is curious about a third person VR game. In short its like controlling a well rendered action figure around creepy ruins. Not as polished or accomplished as Senuas Sacrifice in VR, but honestly its not far off. One of those steam bargains that somehow seems too cheap.

Game for around 1.5 hours. There are some bugs, but you it is playable, just do not try to jump to walls (once I jumped out of map and I could just restart game)
It is not a great game, but definitely it is a good experience worth the time.

This game is sick! I am prone to motion sickness but with this over the shoulder view I have zero problems. Games in this format would definitely boost VR sales because no one would have issues with this design. The game itself is very simple to play. The game play is very similar to God of War. There is massive potential here for future games and even many older games with this formula. This would be awesome as a first game for VR newbies. Highly recommended.

Pros:
- Exellent Graphics for an immersive VR experience
- Atmosphere
- Good character models
- Tense moments in which timing is the key to surviving
Cons:
- The combat mechanics are ok but the sword play doesn't feel gratifying
- May cause discomfort after a 1+ hour game session

Looking for action? Probably not your game. Looking for replayability? Probably not your game. what this game delivers (although its age is showing) is a great cinematic experience. It's pretty linear, and the pace is moderate. The visuals (not in the technical sense) is quite impressive. The dark cavern scene and the first time you see the Minotaur is quite amazing. If you are into mythology and fantasy, this is the game to try. I got it on sale, so it was worth every penny ($2.99!!!)

Very atmospheric and the first time seeing the Minotaur is guaranteed to impress you. Gameplay is a bit simple and linear, practically on rails, but if you don't mind this then just grab your gamepad and go with the ride.... because it can be thrilling and with a lot of eye candy around you.

Very similar to chronos. Has an annoying tendency to restrict movement, trying to make sure you don't rush through the cinematics, made the game very slow. Combat was sparse and not particularly fun. Very linear and required low input from the player. Graphics and atmosphere were great.

Theseus is a third-person game that blends stealth, platforming, and brawler mechanics. It has been developed exclusively for virtual reality, making it a more unique find amongst the endless shooters and first-person based releases thus far. Waking up alone in an unfamiliar place, you will guide a Roman soldier through a hostile and unforgiving labyrinth. At the very heart of this labyrinth lies a corrupted Minotaur, and while you must fight to escape the vicious cycle of death and rebirth, you must also save a mysterious woman named Ariadne.
The world of Theseus is beautifully rendered, and as such it looks phenomenal in a VR environment. It's a little strange at first, playing from a third-person point of view when we're so used to the total opposite. However, the game does show the growing potential for this medium of gaming. Sometimes we follow the protagonist from an over-the-shoulder perspective, where his head also moves along with ours as we scan the world around us, but most of the time we observe the action from a fixed camera angle. Think of it as a mix of old school God of War camera styles.
Throughout the 2 hour journey, new elements and control options are gradually unveiled. At first the game feels more like a walking simulator than anything else, but then the ability to light torches, fend off foes with them, battle with a sword, and sprint are introduced. As for the combat, it's not exceptionally gratifying, and there's only one enemy type present, but at least you can set them on fire with the torch. The platforming sections are exceptional, and the entire experience plays out as smooth as butter. With that said, the true heart of Theseus is its amazing atmosphere and attention to detail. All of the environments are highly captivating, and there are more than a few moments of sheer spine-tingling terror.
In the end, as much fun and as unique as Theseus is, you'll be hard pressed to buy it at the full, brutal price of $21.99 CAD since there's only a maximum of 2 hours of content. When it comes down to it, the game feels like a really solid, polished demo that's best hailed as the stepping stone to the interest and development of more third-person VR games. If you manage to grab it on sale for at least half off, you won't be disappointed. Keep in mind that there is no motion controller support, so a gamepad is a necessity.

A solid 3rd Person action/adventure game. It's very similar to Chronos (only available on OH Currently), except it's a little more linear and a fair bit shorter.
The game has excellent visuals and sounds anda great use of particle effects and environmental lighting that really bring the game to life in VR.
I would say that it is "just barely" worth the asking price of $20 due to the game being so short. You may be better off waiting for a sale, but if you see it up for a around $10-$15 or just straight up don't care then I highly recommend it.
