It looks cool. It feels cool and it is basically a Samurai Jack simulator and who doesn't like Samurai Jack. This one though feels more like a demo or a game idea than a fully-fledged game. You can try it out but I can't recommend it.
Samurai Killing Spree
Gameplay : 3 maps each with a score to unlock the next one, kill everything on sight and dodge (when possible) weapons/fire/electric attacks, only 1 key to attack but you can use slow-motion too (using the same attack key).
Very fast gameplay and very addictive too.
Graphics : Pixel Art.
Ultra wide support : YES, thank you devs. for that.

Controls : I play with Gamepad (XBOX 360), left joystick for movement and A for attacks and slow-mo.
Recommended price : 3.99€.
Conclusion
Addictive gameplay.
Steam Leader board (for competitive people).
I recommend this game to any Samurai/Pixel/Arcade Killing fan.

The game is pretty simple, addicting and cheap: You're a samurai and you slash a bunch of bad guys.
If you squint and use your imagination you can even pretend it's a Samurai Jack game.
I definitely recommend it.

This little game has been on my radar since its release, but I just never bothered getting it, and being the patient person that I am, buying games right away as they release isn't something I often do. In this case I should have as this is among the best games I've played in 2017. Seriously, if I had to make a list of 2017's best titles, Super Samurai Rampage would be on it.

Super Samurai Rampage is essentially just a clicker game. It even has that mobile-styled menu when you pause the game.
Combat basically boils down to only two sort of input: directional and one attack button. There is no jump: you just fly-slash with the same button. Combo in the game is just mashing attack buttons to slice through your opponents. The only way to avoid getting hit is just move in the right direction. No deflect mechanics, counter, or some sort.
It has a nice stylized pixel art look with a cool destructible environments (i.e. slashes cuts woods/objects in backgrounds). But characters design is the typical orientalist take on "the Far East" - Chinese and Japanese elements mashed into one (what's with dragon lightning and the Raiden and Shredder lookalikes).
I don't know what is the proper place for mobile clicker games on Steam, but for me personally it's not a game I'd recommend for PC.

A rare Unity game which is good (yet small) with easy achievements - a crazy single-screen beat-the-score chopping/slashing activity that helps to significantly relieve the stress in a couple of minutes.
It tells the story of a deeply insulted samurai full of determination to teach the ceorls some rules of feudal etiquette. The gameplay consists of very energetic moves across the screen (vertical as well, for the character walks the air) dissecting scenery & actors altogather. It all reminds of a theatre stage where thousands of new bit players are always at hand to serve as props for the glory of the performer. Still they do provide certain opposition, especially when the score rises higher & more qualified scoundrels with projectiles inhabit the screen volume. Generally, i think it's a quality software for what it means to accomplish.

I thought this may scratch the same itch that One Finger Death Punch did but unfortunately Samurai Rampage is really basic and didn't hold my attention for long at all. While the presentation and overall quality isn't awful the mobile game roots are very obvious and the gameplay is lacking after the first couple runs.
It's essentially spamming the attack button and then jumping to avoid damage when needed, the jumping is awkward and you will experience deaths you knew were coming but couldn't get the jump to co-operate, game doesn't really have any depth to it and gets boring quickly, silver lining it's cheap and was some fairly easy achievements i suppose. But if you like the look of this just play One Finger Death Punch 1+2 for a more engaging arcade smash-em-up

Samurai Rampage is a cool score attack / wave survival game done in a 2D format with unique pixelated graphics and a variety of enemy types that you must evade, parry, and annihilate throughout a handful of feudal settings. Enemies explode sprays of blood or their skeletons electrocute and disintegrate as you mow them down. As cool as all of that looks, sounds, and can be, from a gameplay perspective the game is very simple.
You spend most (well, pretty much all) of your time in Samurai Rampage clearing either a ground level or flying set of enemies from left to right in 3 panoramic arenas which span a few scrolls of background. This would probably get old fast, but thankfully these look great with smooth animations and a heavy eastern style to the enemies and protagonist.
You face off against an assortment of ninja and samurai-ish looking dudes, including people who hurl axes or throw torches at you, as well as a variety of menacing floating enemies. Everyone seems to only take one dinky little hit of the attack to die (yourself included) which adds to the game's rapid pace, but also makes for at times simple spamming of the attack and holding left or right to clear either the top or bottom row of enemies. If the game were only this it would probably get old fast, however the gameplay is varied with the addition of a parry and time slow system. By holding the attack button down you slow time, which allows you to evade enemy attacks, line up your own, or parry them if there are too many sprites to dodge, as you jump from the lower tier to the higher one to better clear the area. For better or for worse it felt like at times there were so many enemies and effects on screen that I didn't know what to dodge or "what killed me," leading to a gameover.
The game has no traditional "jump" button mapped separate from the attack, which took some getting used to. Instead, you remain stationary until you charge up or point in a direction and attack, if you aim up, for example, he will jump / slash that way simultaneously. This sounds more stilted than it feels once you get the hang of it, and the inclusion of an arrow / meter of where you are aiming to jump to when slowing time makes things more discernable, but some may find it off-putting.
If you kill enough enemies rapidly you hit a super mode where you are temporarily invincible and quickly vaporizing large swaths of enemies. This looks cool and is violent. Being able to select different powerups or effects, like increased speed in lieu of invincibility (or something beyond the one ultimate ability) would be nice.
From what I can tell there isn't much purpose to the game beyond seeing how long you can last, hoping to reach a score tier to unlock the next level (i.e. 2000 points on Stage 1 to unlock Stage 2.) That being said, if there are only 3 levels is a bit disappointing.
All-in-all Samurai Rampage provides a flashy, straightforward mechanic via its parrying and time slow, and its enemy variety and background locales match the overall setting well. Some different modes, levels that scrolled more vertically, or collectible items/powerups of some kind might give the game more longevity beyond its initial set of levels, but what is here is enjoyable if you like feudal eastern style setting and don't mind somewhat shallow gameplay.
