I think this game is great. I love how I can feel what it's like to have a pass rush coming at me while I'm having to look off defenders to find an open reciever all within a few seconds. I love how I can design my own routes or have players block for my offense. This game has quickly become one of the few games I've gone back to several times to play and I plan to play it more.
I wish there were a few things that were different. Such as I wish the 4 plays that you get to design before you start your attempt to win it all were able to be adjusted/redesigned either during the game or at least inbetween games after a win. Maybe timeouts can be used to create different plays during the games. I wish there were more plays to choose from, maybe 8 plays or even more. 4 just seems so limited in choices even for a 2 minute drill attempt, especially when the defense seems to learn what you do. I wish the offensive players would not get stuck on eachother when running routes. They need to learn how to run around eachother or something. I wish I could skip thru the final celebration after losing a game, it was fun the first couple times, but now I just wanna skip thru and start over right away and not wait a min or 2 (thats what it feels like) after a loss to try again. Of course, I wish it was way more expanded, such as a full length game, being able to play defense, and more control over all the players when designing plays as well as players having attributes and abilities, like more speed for the WR and more blocking for the TE instead of everyone seeming like they're the same.
But I am really stoked for one of the earliest football iterations that has come out for VR and I hope it will continue down a path using this as a foundation for what it can become. Thanks for making this game Truant Pixel team!
Edit: I saw right after writing this that there was an update earlier in the day making 8 plays choices possible. But another idea to double that play count is to add a swap sides button so each play can be flipped to the other side of the field. Awesome to see the developers are currently active!

I do like this version but the Quest 2's version is considerably better. Like on a whole different level. Oculus version has 40+ teams from high school to professional, more realistic players, Different difficulties which match different player types. The ability to use special teams, and now recently the ability to play as a wide receiver as well as the QB. I wish they would move it over here so i can get a visual boost from my pc. Still a super fun game.. But buy both versions to really get a great experience.

AFTER FURTHER REVIEW: This game is dope.
If you like the sport of football, you will love this game. It may be a simplified game experience (it's basically a series of two minute drills) but there are three things REALLY make this game worth it:
1) The throwing mechanics. They are realistic and relatively unforgiving and it takes practice, but once you get it down it's really, really satisfying to complete a deep bomb TD as time expires
2) The AI. The different opponent teams seem to play the same play differently so you actually do have to analyze the coverage to find the open man.
3) DRAWING YOUR OWN PLAYS!! You only a playbook of 8 plays (16 I guess because you can mirror them) but all 8 can be completely customized to be exactly the routes you like. I find myself tweaking the plays & trying to scheme guys open with routes and it's really satisfying to draw up a custom route & then to score a TD on it.
If you like football and you miss the days in Madden when you could create your own plays, this game is for you. Give it a try!

If you like football, this is a must have VR game. I played football irl and I can tell you that throwing the football in this game is very close to being true to real life. I have several VR games but this is the game I always go back to. I'll play more of it when I buy the Valve Index controllers. The Vive Wands hurt the experience because you can't naturally release when you throw.
2MD would be better if it was more fleshed out; having full quarters of play, being able to play as other positions than just the quarterback, different QB formations (than just Shotgun) improved graphics, etc...but as it is, it's incredibly fun. I love the different stadiums and even though the players are dummies (literally and figuratively), immersion is high. I highly recommend 2MD VR Football!

It's good, but once you have a strategy for the later rounds it becomes way to easy to the point with the right play you can win on a hail mary with your 1st pass in early rounds and 2 passes in later rounds. It would be fun to have different height and stats. I also hope to see a season mode and 4 quarter games of offense only with your defense being simmed

Super polished, exhilarating, and largely realistic quarterback simulator. A must-buy for anyone who has ever had fun criticizing a QB's gameplay.
Pros:
+Extremely responsive and accountable Dev
+Drawing your own plays w/ a marker is intuitive, and thrilling to try out in-game
+Every game is the final two-minutes of a game, which focuses the experience, forces you to make some throws, and nicely paces the difficulty as the "season" progresses
+Quickly reading defenses, adjusting your play, progressing through reads, and throwing the perfect ball in a matter of seconds is an absolutel blast. Extremely fun and challenging!
+A great way to quickly get your heart pumping and your confidence going, or to blow off steam (and get humbled) after your favorite team loses
Cons:
-Doesn't work well enough with WMR headset. Unless you adopt an unnatural and immersion-reducing throwing posture, you will repeatedly make errant throws in key moments. It needs 360-degree tracking, as indicated on the Store page. However, Windows Mixed Reality is indicated as supported, but WMR doesn't have 360-degree tracking. So, WMRs are not actually fully supported.
-Overly-simple player models take immersion down a notch
-FOV is limited and restricted to a "sweet spot" on modern headsets, so it's harder to "feel" pressure around you since your peripheral vision is so restricted
Verdict: It's obvious that this is the future of football games. Spectacular job, Dev! This game needs much more content and a much higher price.
Please add:
1) Online multiplayer w/ playable defensive position or two. Pass rush would be great, and it might be fun to have defensive backs on auto route "rails" where you just play the ball & can cycle between defender POVs.
2) Realistic player models with intelligent eye movements
3) Full length games, a league manager, and (fictional) player stats
4) Weather

AT A GLANCE:
5/5 Stars - (Reviewed using the HTC Vive Cosmos Elite VR Headset) This is one of the best games I have played for VR yet! I love football so that is an easy statement for me to make. Such an incredible experience to be placed behind center and in control of the action. If you own a VR headset and thinking about getting this game I fully recommend it.
GAME GENRE:
Football, Sports, VR, Single Player, Indie
GAME DESCRIPTION:
Release Date: Sept, 2017 - You are the QB with 2:00 remaining in the game. You are down on the scoreboard, and need to bring your team back from a deficit. Can you be the hero and put together a 4th quarter drive to win the game? Draw up your own play and find out.
KID FRIENDLY:
(First know that I am very strict on kid approved material. A game with a standard rating of PG I might rate at PG-13. These are my ratings, and have nothing to do with standard ratings)
I rate this game PG. A great way for kids to play video games while still being active. At first this game might be a little intimidating when they are rushed by the tackling dummies, but that should subside over a few plays. If your kids like football this would be a good addition to their set of games.
ACHIEVEMENTS:
24 Achievements ranging from easy to moderately hard to obtain.
TRADING CARDS:
8 Trading Cards
PROS:
-You are the QB
-You can run with the ball
-Draw-up your own play
CONS:
-I want more everything! More, more, more!
GAMEPLAY:
For the most part, everything works great. You are able to practice throwing and adjust how hard or soft it is to create a more realistic feel. It's not perfect, but pretty darn close.
VISUAL EFFECTS:
(Graphics also depend on the VR Headset that you use)
Graphics on the field are pretty decent. Graphics in the stands are along the lines of Tecmo Bowl. Very basic visuals, but this game is more about what we are able to do, PLAY FOOTBALL.
AUDIO:
(Like most games the audio can be adjusted)
You are able to adjust the sound of your voice when hiking the ball to either a male or female voice. The on field sounds are realistic and put you right into the game. Crowd noise also is good especially when you score and they cheer you on.
STORYLINE:
No storyline. Would be neat to have this though.
REPLAY VALUE:
Absolutely! I love football, and this puts me right in the action! Not with a controller, which I still love, but actually getting up and playing!
PROBLEMS/ISSUES:
No problems at all. I had no problems downloading this game. I have had no problems with this game freezing up on me. I have not had this game quit unexpectedly either.
WORDS FOR DEVELOPERS:
Thanks for making a game like this! Incredible! I'm sure you have already thought about adding things to this game, but I will list some anyway. A storyline and backstory, more stadiums, more team choices, more ways to customize, realistic fans in the stadiums, more, more, more! Haha!

An absolutely fantastic recreatation of playing as a QB with completely unforgiving and very realistic throwing mechanics and playmaking.
This has some seriously SMART AI (this actually shocked me), a playmaking board in a lockeroom as a homebase to make some plays which is very intuitive. Pplay some 2 min drills with the plays you created in rounds of increasing difficulty. Im about 4 hours in and ive made it to the 5th round with about 200 points. I just cant stop playing. This is a game BEGGING to be expanded upon. I told the dev i wasnt a fan of the ringtoss and more just playing routes as it reminds me of my days playing QB as a kid.. He responded instantly, and he then added a skip button the very next day. Great game, great dev. I cant say enough good things. If you like football, give it a shot you wont regret it.
