I played and fell in love with this game year ago on gamepass. When I saw it on sale on the VR page I had to buy it. Experiencing this in VR is amazing. The game itself is awesome. It feels like an old Rare game. Lot of personality with the characters and fun puzzle ideas. One of my favorite games of the last 5 years. Don't let the cute look of the game fool you. The game play is interesting and lets you explore puzzles and ideas. It's a real good mix of character development, exploration, puzzles, and the snax are cute. Just buy it and you won't regret it.

Don't let the cutesy style fool you! This is a horrific body-horror game. I am scared.
It's well written and the gameplay is fun. I liked figuring out how to catch some of the bugsnax (i might've caught many of them in an unintended, but creative, way). I love games where you can fill out your collection, this is no exception.

This was a whole lot of fun. I would have paid MORE for it tbh.
It's not a super long game (I 100% in 23 hours with a couple things done with a guide), but the characters are really well-developed & perfectly voiced, gameplay is fun and engaging + scratches the collect-a-thon itch without being a slog because it's not 100 years long. Also, lots of fun little things you unlock as the game gets further.
They definitely understand how to not give you tools that would make the game too repetitive/easy early on, and I felt there was a lot to explore, fun in figuring out the capture methods, and a good pace overall. The graphics are cute and stylized, so they still look good on lower settings. I personally played with an Xbox 360 controller vs keyboard - it really gave me that Xbox 360-era vibe - but I think it wouldn't make a ton of difference. I felt the default sensitivity for the joysticks worked fine.
My only real complaint was the (relative to the average game today) longer load times between areas, but they usually cleared up after playing for a little while. I didn't notice too many glitches, graphical or otherwise.
I loved every minute I spent playing this game, even when I got frustrated at my own inability to catch a Bugsnax. I look forward to replaying it again down the line and spreading it to all my friends!!

Kinda bug, kinda snax, all weird. I played this when it first debuted mostly for the memes, but stayed because of the humor, quirkiness, and somewhat relaxing gameplay. There are also some surprises here like the quiet somber moments, and it also gets pretty dark.
Oh, and don't sleep on the music. The music is 10/10.
Honestly this game gets too much hate, but I think it comes from people who don't want to give it a chance. Give this one a look, I think there's something for a lot of different gamers here.

This is hands down one of the cutest and best narrative driven games I've played in a hot second. The Characters are endearing. The gameplay/puzzles are incredibly fun. The design of the Bugsnax are just ADORABLE. If you want a fun, chill, game to enjoy this is what you need. I cannot recommend this game more.

Brought me back into my gaming zone! A nice story that not only has cute characters, but realistic elements that are highlighted without being the main focus of the story. Also loved how it included queer love stories without making that the entire point of the plot. They just exist and it's normal. Loved the game!!

I love this game, I love it a lot. I love the music, the characters, the premise and the dialog etc etc. Also shout out to the free DLC, it helps give more attention and love to some characters who needed some more of that! Although my personal gameplay consists of me try my hardest to keep the character's bodies somewhat the same, even though they keep eating more and more snax

I didn't expect to be literally crying at the end of this silly game...
This was an unironically amazing experience. The world sucks you in and you learn to really care about the inhabitants of Snacktooth Island. The graphics are beautiful, there's so much lore, and the character development is top tier. The mix-ins of mild horror elements here and there are also amazingly done and add much more depth than if this was just a simple kids' game. Overall this is one of my new favorite games and I hope other people get to experience the love of this game that I do.
Also if you're wondering, Chandlo and Snorpy are my two favorite characters, but each and every one of them deserve love!

This game is genuinely one of the best things EVER in my eyes. The story is beautiful and the characters are well-built in a way that makes you hate some and love some. I got invested in the characters' relationships and the game play is also great.
I don't really write reviews, but I really hope someone buys this game because of me, because this game fucking rocks.
