Ignore the Obey The Fist review on this page. That guy is a no-nothing fool who does not understand PC games in the least, despite acting like an expert. This is a very fun and well-designed game that is a throwback to arcade games of yesteryear without being beholden to the rules of the past. The inspirations of Asteroids, Smash TV, and the original GTA games are pretty obvious. It's themed as a futuristic dystopian game show where the contestants are in a life-or-death situation of deadly combat with each other. You drive your car around an arena and attempt to shoot your opponent to death before they do that to you. Simple concept with a refined execution. The thing most people will notice about this game is it is hard. Extremely hard. One of the most difficult games I've played in a long time. It somehow manages to make it seem fair. I never felt like the game was cheating me and my deaths were all my own fault, simply not being deft with the controls yet. I do wish you didn't have to return to the beginning of the current level set you're playing when you die though. There is a lot of heart put into this game and it shines through. Anyone who is interested in arcade-style games should give this a chance. Are you going to trust a guy like Obey The Fist! who thinks that all games require modern 3D graphics and that sales figures represents quality? Can you imagine the life of a dude who spends much of his free time playing games he hates and copy-and-pasting his review templates into nearly 18,000 days? A sad pathetic life. Anyway, Carsteroids good.
