Cowboy's Adventure is a masterpiece of a game. Its sprawling yet meticulously detailed map is the high bar to which all other linear-world games aspire, and it’s incredibly dense with excellent content. With so much to do, explore, and play with. 10/10

[Introduction] Cowboy's Adventure is a memento of the well established Western Deathrun genre. It offers three levels of diffculty the Player can choose from and it sets out to achieve what many of its modern predecessors fail to accomplish [Story] You play as the Ghost of a Cowboy Adventurer which finds himself trapped in the Underworld. The Player isnt given any Information about the previous life of the mighty Adventurer and left to guess wheter the Protagonist has fallen in a Western duell and finds himself in the Afterlife or if a Dark Spell has been laid upon him. After you find yourself stranded in a Strange world with a deep-blue Ocean and a castle with seemingly no way to escape you feel the pull towards a portal. You manage to overcome the traps and hurdles thrown at you, and clear the first portal. You find yourself in another world and ask yourself if this is just the beginning or already the end. There is nothing else to do for you other than continue, there is nothing else in the world anymore and you find the thrill, pain and challenge of the portals more satisfying than waiting for the never coming end. [Controls] I really admire the choice of the Developer to keep the Controls simple, you may Jump Spring and choose the direction in which to move. Simple. Perfect. [Visuals] Unfortunatly i have to say that there is room for improvement for the visuals. I do understand in the business there are hard time-limits and the stress can be overbearing. BUT i completly support the decision to invest the End-stage Development Time into the Gameplay so you can release a game that the players enjoy PLAYING and not LOOKING at. [Music] Generally, im happy with the decisions made, implementing the Music into the gameplay of the game. Instead of using single songs the Developers decided to Use one Soundfile that gets Looped over and over again. The Soundfile is 30 Minutes and 28 seconds long and gives the player enough repetition to feel as uncomfortable as a Cowboy trapped in the Underworld. All in all the perfect Music to underline the general concept of the game. You can find the Music in your Steam library under Music>Album>Music. [Level Designs] There are 14 Game Worlds which range from castles flooded with rapid currents, heated lava levels inside a volcano to throat tightening stuctures that suck the air out of your lungs. I found the Difficulty levels adequat altough i found the hard levels to be too easy relative to the easy levels. [Summary] I would give this game a 7/10. I appreciate the games existance and hope it helps the Western Deathrun Genre to turn into the right direction. Good for casual gaming evenings and keeping away your suicidal tendencies.

owned this game a long long time and I finally beat it. I actually beat it twice this session. the finger I use to push W hurts so bad, I'm gonna take a break from games for a day or two. Game handles terribly, but that's a big part of it's charm. It'd be boring if it was playable. You can jog, sprint, jump, and control the camera. The "difficulty" selection is a lie. Just starts ya on later levels. music is good but repetitve/annoying. also its public domain music. virtually no interactivity, don't expect: -frills -sfx -text -win screen -lose screen -powerups -attacks -textures -backgrounds -any items/enemies at all do expect -brutal 3d platforming -cowboy in hell -he's a ghost -thats it BIG recommend if you like HARD GAMES or COWBOYS

Cowboy's Adventure brings together the worlds of Bloodborne, Red Dead Redemption 2, and (insert your favorite platformer) in holy thruple matrimony. It is truly a masterpiece concocted for elite gamerz and e-girls only. Only people with smol peepee thumbdown Cowboy's Adventure due to lack of gaming skill needed to play this high skill fl00r game. Graphics are hyper real and the ghost of Cowboy is the best video game lead of the decade. Thank you Cowboy's Adventure..... Thank you.*//*

For a $1 game, the scope of this is just fine. If you want a game with a good cheese factor, then this is the one for you. No sound effects. Non for when you walk, jump, land, die, or click on something. It's the most offputting part of a game, when it has no sound effects. All this game has is a list of very stocky sounding songs that it goes through as you play. This game feels awekward with the sound on or off. This game has controles like it's an action game but with straignt 3D platforming gameplay. I'd describe it's level design as being sort of like a 3D level of the original Super Mario Bros. The whole goal is to reach the end of the level. The levels are also pretty hard but considering this is a $1 game, that's almost understandable. But some of the jumps I feel are only possible if you get them pixel perfect. The presentation is also pretty lacking. It looks like you just threw together a bunch of Unreal assets. It looks kind of boring as a result. You don't even have textures for your player model. I think he's supposed to be a ghost. But it just looks unfinished. Those were mt big issues. The rest listed here are minor gripes. No options. The camera still moves when I pause the game. The three levels are labeled Easy, Medium, and Hard but there seems to be no difference in difficulty between them.

This game was part of a Blender Games bundle I bought last decade; finally felt like playing for a bit, give it the bad review it deserves and move on. 🙄

Cowboy's Adventure Pros+ The looks are nice. Cons- Poorly made movement. Hard to control. Too much delay. if you're running it sometimes stops you. Hard is easy. Easy is hard. Where is the sprint jump? If you're sprinting and you jump it feels like it stops you. I'll give it 1,7/6 stars

This game has no options, no plot, no beginning, no end. Yes it has buggy controls, but you are the ghost of a cowboy after all (I guess?). Finishing this game leaves you with a satisfaction of completion, but also gives you a very empty feeling. Although I wont start up this game again unless it magically gets some more development time and some achievements, it's a nice game to waste some time on and try to beat for only €1.

Oh boy, where do I begin. First off, the game is unplayable at this state, you walk (and run, for that matter) WAY too slow, and the jumping mechanics are horrible (it takes a second for the jump animation to finish and with the speed you walk/run at it is still very hard to even get past the first jump.) Mind you this is easy mode. The loading screen honestly looks like something just added in a few minutes before release, it is just the same font as the logo thrown onto what I think is a fire background video. Then we have the music, and that in and of itself is worth not getting this game. You would think that, being the deathrun game this claims to be, there would be adventure music, maybe cinimatic music, but no, the music in this game can best be described as slow horror music. There is also no animation or transition when you fail/die, you just restart the level. This game is trying to be a temple run game where you can go at your own pace, and I did really want to enjoy it, the problem is it is broken in its current state, and I could even forgive that IF it was labeled as early access, but it was not, this is the finished product. This game was an adventure, but an adventure I regret.
