Amazing short cinematic experience with gaze-controlled pacing. Stylish visuals aged very well and the story is simple yet touching. It's artistic and exciting at the same time, truly a hidden VR gem. Works perfectly fine with Reverb G2, despite not having official WMR support on the Store page.

Well now, that wasn't what I was expecting, I'm thoroughly pleased though. That was a solid and emotional trip of a VR experience. This is not really a game mind you, it's more of like an interactive movie. It's worth the 5 dollar price tag, try to get it on sale if you can, but even then 5 bucks ain't bad for a 20 minute interactive story. It's amazing how much they could unpack in such a short amount of time. 10/10. Sit back and enjoy the story of Manifest 99 Make sure to wave.

7/10 less then 20 mins. film, no words, no explanation but is so amazing you want to share it with your friend/family. the screenshots in store page make it seem dark, scary. its not. but, can only recommend at sale price.

If you have a limited budget for VR, (like I do) and have to save up to get experiences, then I would skip this one. I waited a year to try this out. I had even been looking forward to trying it, but kept hoping it would go on sale at some point. After a year of waiting for a sale, I just bit the bullet and bought it. I wish I had saved my money. In 2020 I cannot suggest this experience at THIS price point. This should be no more than $1.99 at this point (if that) At $1.99 or under, I could give it some praise, but not $5.99. It could have gotten away with this price tag in 2017 when it came out, when there still wasn't much out there for VR, but there are far better experiences that are cheaper or even FREE on Steam at this point.

Even better than I hoped. The gazing technique works very well. Excellent music and of course beautiful art! Thank you for creating this wonderful VR story.

I got this game for my girlfriend. She loves point-and-click story games, so this seemed right up her alley. She doesn't like to play VR games at all, and was quiet while she played the game, but afterwards said it was the best VR game she's played or seen. There was no dialogue, so it can be played by speakers of any language, and the themes can be understood by most people. My girlfriend really enjoyed the story, and described it as a short story in VR format. I timed her playthrough, and it took her 25 minutes. I personally felt that it should have been cheaper due to short playtime, but my girlfriend adamantly opposed, and said she would have paid that easily.

I was really torn if I should recommend this one. It's a really cool short story but you have the emphasize the "short" part. Did you see the screenshots on Steams product page? You just saw the whole game! The artstyle is also great but sometimes executed a bit clumsy - not really a problem tho. An lastly there is the stare mechanic which is nice but could have been muche more I think. So all in all if you are really interested in such short projects and have the money to spare go ahead. But while it's only 6 dollars (for me here) you can get movies and thousands other indie games for that price. With 20 minutes of "play" time this is a bit of a hard sale for me.

Manifest 99 isnt really much of a game as its much more of an interactive experience and therefore i'll refer to the storepages description as it sums it up well without spoling too much. It took me 0.4 hours to finish it and besides of interacting with a few different characters and things scattered around theres really not much to do in Manifest 99 execept to behold the visually appealing spectacle. For that reason gameplay is pretty much non existant but as i previously said this is more an experienece than a game. I bought the game at full price at 4,79€ and personally think its overpriced for what you get so i believe for most people pondering about buying it, getting it at atleast a 50% discount would make the most sense. I did shortly contemplate on requesting a refund just for the sake of buying it later on a reduced price but frankly i doesnt really mind supporting devs who tries to make some original works and in this case visually they really succeeded. Played on a HTC Vive Gameplay 2/10 Graphics/Style 8.5/10 Sound 8/10 Price 3/10 Overall though i think Manifest 99 piqued my interest but at the same time it would have been nice with a more fleshed out product than what is essentially a demo length game/interactive cartoon experience. 5.5/10

This is an experience rather than an actual game that can be finished in a short amount of time, so please do not bother if you're just going to refund it afterwards. With that said, this was a thought provoking little short story, though could be just as impactful if it weren't in VR. Though it wasn't what i thought it was going to be, i still enjoyed my 20 minutes with this. Also The music was phenominal! Will not be for those who are looking for gameplay or wanting the most bang for their buck. But if you're into these short VR experiences, you'll want to check this one out.

I mean it's very visually appealing from the screenshots, however the way the pacing and story take off leave's you no time to connect with any of the characters in any meaningful way. The way the gaze mechanism with the other crow's work's is pretty neat, but once again there isn't any reason given as to why I feel like this should have been the water train from Spirited Away and is perhaps where the inspiration was drawn from, but it conflates storylines into a somewhat confusing web of very nice looking visuals and character insight moments Everything is otherwise fine besides the player camera anchor points, so during some moments you'll find yourself clipping through a nearby poly
