A great multiplayer party game that really shines once you've got a group together. There are eight built-in games with "Droids" being my friends favourite, a frantic twin-stick shooter where it can sometimes feel like you're moving faster than you can think!
Visually the game is incredibly authentic; letting you choose from many different CRT filters, or none at all if that's your style, and a variety of scaling & scanline options.
The audio is equally great, perfectly matching the energetic nature that a lot of these games have.
If you've got enough controllers and friends to get 16 player game going you've basically got no choice but to buy this game, the fact that RetroWar even supports that many players make it worth the price of admission alone.
There's a whole modding side to RetroWar that I haven't even touched yet, with mods having their own option right on the start screen.

A really cool retro multiplayer game, with lots of classic retro minigames that are terrific fun with 4 players!
The selection of games is pretty solid. Some I find more intuitive than others, but most are really good fun when playing with others (as the game is intended!).
I haven't tried the modding yet, but I had a quick look at the code for one of the example mods, and it looks very accessible. It looks to be well documented as well. If you're looking to build your own retro minigames, this looks a good platform to build on!
There's also talk of an online multiplayer coming soon which I'm quite excited about!

This is great for couch co-op! The games are all really easy to jump in to and if you're even slightly competitive you'll have a blast.
The developer has done a great job re-creating that retro vibe, it does feel like you're playing on an old Amiga.
Looking forward to future updates :)

Great party game! Played this with 4 friends using 4 wireless controllers, it was really fun! we especially enjoyed Ghost Jumpers and Snake Eaters.
Haven't fully explored all the game and mod options yet. Will play it more when I next have friends over.

Authentic old-school multiplayer fun (even down to the simulated CRT effect).
All the games are local multiplayer with up to 16 players - I didn't even know that was possible! Sadly I don't have nearly enough controllers (or indeed friends) to really test that out.
It also seems to be possible to mod the games if you can program, or even create new ones and they'll show up in the menus, which I think is a really nice feature. I might have to take some time out from gaming to try writing a pong clone or something.
Pros:

Authentic 8-bit look and feel

The games are fun and can get pretty hectic with >2 people playing

Quite a few different games included

Cheap price
Cons:

Controls can sometimes feel a little awkward (although this might be part of the authenticity, and it can add to the hectic nature when playing with friends).

Wow! If you like retro this is the place to come.
If you love multi player and retro then it's a win win! The games are fun and easy to get to grips with, but with the added instructions you can't go wrong.
The gameplay is nice and smooth, and the retro music is a blast
Great fun had by all!

This is a one-stop shop for retro mini-games, all multiplayer, so any group of gamers can find out who's the retro king. 4 players is a blast, apparently supporting up to 15 which is probably excessive, in a good way I hope.
The selection of games is fair, could do with a few more, but they cover good ground and people tend to find the ones they're good at.
The above is actually just half the story as the game heavily encourages changing the game, starting from tweaking settings in the menus, down to full-on modding, maybe even more games will follow if people get into that, looks like you can just about make anything you like!
Overall this is a pretty unique party game and actually pretty serious in its pared-down retro styling and collaborative creation. Just remember to bring a friend or two who remember how games used to be made.
