The game is nice and all, but it has some issues with newer processors. From what I could gather and test with my limited hardware, the game refuses to run on modern Ryzen CPU's while running on Windows 10 and 11. Switching to Linux and running the game through Proton sometimes works with Ryzen CPU's, although I only had 1 5800X3D to test it with. Older Intel CPU's seems to run the game just fine on Windows and Linux, tested it on an i7-870 (performance was bad but it was playable), i7-4790 (performance okay) and a mobile i7-7500u (performance was okay). I cannot vouch for anything new on from intel such as Core Ultra's or 12-13-14th gen being able to run the game. If the game doesn't run for you on Windows (black screen on startup, weird error messages, black void when loading into the main menu etc.), you might want to try Linux as an alternative, the Proton compatibility layer seems to "fix" whatever issue the game has on native Windows. Otherwise you might want to dust off your old Laptop/Desktop you had laying around just to play this game. Oh, the game is actually really fun, it's a medieval take on boomer shooters, sort of like a hybrid of Hexen and Heretic with a mix of Duke 3D.

Wow, a melee based old-school boomer shooter with a King Arthur setting - but not in a Disney kind of way, instead it's grim, dark and brutal. One of my favorites.

Exactly what i was looking for. Love the dark medieval theme, food items for health, the weapons and environment. i'm not sure what the runes are for yet though.

Atmosphere. Celtic and Roman ruins across dark forests and ruined castles. A lot of tools to kill, sometimes to heal. But mostly to vanquish your enemies. Bosses, mythology inspired demons and creatures. Few times some cleverly hidden switches. With a lot of options outside of main campaign and a lot of difficulty settings, the replay-ability is high. Similarly to doom=likes, there are counters at the end of each level, for secrets, monsters slain and time PAR. Loved it. It lacks some real story of course, but I found it more engaging than most doom clones. If you are craving a really good game, look for free doom mod= standalone game called ASHES 2063.

Where the hell was this game hiding and why is no one talking about it? An absolute masterpiece of old school boomer shooter design where every weapon serves a purpose (and you get a bunch of them, plus the ability to dual wield 'em). On top of your melee weapons and shelds you also get some magic spells, staff, traps and potions. Enemies aren't as plenty as in other games but are varied enough and present such a constant threat and challenge than even engaging with 2 or 3 at a time is asking for a bad time. Almost none of them are annoying (except the flying enemies on the first chapter, fuck those) Level design is very intricate yet not labyrinthian enough to necessitate a map nor make you loose your head walking in circles (except for E3M3) and very rewarding of exploration as there's secrets a plenty. it's only downsides is it's performance as frames tend to drop quicker than your HP but understandable as this is the dev's first game if I'm not mistaken.

Great game and a lot of fun! I particularly enjoy the art direction, weapons, and environments. There are some extra game modes too that unlock as you progress. Hopefully, the developer will return to update and fix some of the quirky save and menu mechanics which took a lot of getting used to between game-pad and keyboard. I had also lost my initial save somehow and had to start over once.
