No v-sync, no lock fps. My GPU GTX960M runs this game on 500 fps, why I need my GPU working 100%. I had to make a workaround to lock the fps.

If Kevin Smith made an indie Samurai Beat em up game and based the main character off of Justin Long lol :P Full Controller support, fun, simple...Give it a go peeps. I enjoyed it!

music is really nice, shame that everything else is just so, so bad aerial attacks are useless, grabs are almost non-existant and also useless, special moves are meh at best, AI is cheap and will constantly spam a single move and stunlock you to death, enemy variety is also almost non-existant but yeah, music is cool i guess either get it on sale, or just skip it, you won't miss much here

Barely found this game last night and all I can say is that this game feels great. Story doesn't feel generic and has enough variety to keep me wanting to replay. Each of the schools provide different ways to play whether it'd be aggressive or defensive. The variety of enemies are mainly just recolors but much like the characters you play as they derive from different schools meaning they will fight in different ways whether it'd be poke game or just full on attack. The controls feel somewhat smooth yet with a bit of delay being when I try to block after an attack but that seems normal. I respect the devs for wanting to endorse couch coop because even though we are in the digital age, it is always nice and refreshing to just sit with your buddy or family and go ham on a game. This game has a lot of potential and I hope the devs continue with their work!

Clunky controls, cringey weeaboo writing, music puts me to sleep. Why can't I remap the shoulder button actions to triggers? (they are remapped, but still work only on buttons) Instead of a grab or a throw you get a weird immobilizing chain move. The moveset seems limited even for a beat'em'up, unfortunately. It's just a lot of running through repetitive and needlessly empty environments, beating up annoying enemies. Not all are bad, but goddamit the kappa. And when you think it's over, they throw in more kappa. Some items that fall out of destructible terrain can be picked up, a lot of them can't. Why? Both seem to be able to be stolen by those weird tanuki (?). There are no temporary weapons (that I found), or cool environmental interactivity. (no kicking or throwing people into things, or off places etc.) Maybe get this if you really love beat'em'ups and wanna play a new one.

Loving this game so far! The music especially. It perfectly suits the vibe of the story and the pace of the gameplay. The controls are easy to grasp (though I know some people are still gonna say a tutorial would have been nice, and I was a little surprised there wasnt one, I found myself not missing it all that much). The art style is quite good, the sound effects are competent, and you can tell the devs really care about this labor of love. If you like beat em ups, youll love this game. If you like Samurai, youll love this game. If you like breakable set pieces with raccoons hiding in them, Youll ADORE this game. Highly recommended!

I have tried this a few times now. Loaded up fine, was pretty good played two players with Xbox one controllers. The control scheme is great the theme and art style are complimented by a cool soundtrack. but the game crashes on the regular. Sometimes after a minute, sometimes after a full level. One thing you know for sure though is it will crash and when it does it is a bad freeze your PC crash, refuse to close the programme through task-manager crash. Reboot your PC and punish you for thinking you can play the game you paid for type of crash. The crash is confined to this one game, so I know it isn't my PC. It is a shame but in it's current state (20/02/2018) it is unplayable without the threat of being booted. 0/10 wouldn't be forced to restart PC again.

Mixed feelings at best, but id recommend. The game has an interesting story with endings that you earn with your actions changing almost everything. Also the story makes sure the choices you make are hard ones. there are no right answers, no clear path, just your honest to god morals where you always lose something. in this case the game is fantastic! Except the enemies, and there lies the biggest problem. The enemies themselves never change regardless of the story. Took down the revolutions leader? still see her men. Join the revolution? Still fight her men.... nothing seems to change outside the bosses. The real problem is the enemy ai who will spam the same attack over and over like your 6 year old nephew in tekken. easy enough to get around but.... really tedious to deal with constantly. All n all its fun with a friend but i would get it on a sale.

Had this on my wishlist searching for similar games to Castle Crashers. I wouldn't say it's similar, but it definitely reminded me of playing games like Double Dragon or Battletoads back in the day, just with better controls, nice artwork, etc. If you like "Beat 'em ups" this one is worth the $15 IMHO and if it's on sale consider it a steal! Being most games usually give an intro/tutorial on the controls (this one doesn't currently), I feel it's worth mentioning the PAUSE menu is your friend in this game. It'll show you all sorts of combos (similar to newer Mortal Kombat games and their pause menu).
