8.5/10 This game is good, every character has their own story. The gameplay is kinda short its just has 10 stage (story mode), so it will gonna feels little bit bored, still good game to time killer.. but If you want to play with friends local multiplayer this is very recommended game, it can be played by 2-4 persons Music, visual are perfect, feels like in 80`s but.. It more enjoyable to play using gamepad, but if you don't mind about that, you can play using keyboard, just need a little bit adaptaion to it (Move W, A, S, D) (Hit-Dash-Ulti F, G, H)

If this game added online mode, maybe it could be a new title for e-sports. low requirement spec, simple game play, worth the price, what else? it could be potential.

its a good game its nice and a good concept but the problem is the lack of updates i feel there should be a tutorial and some balance changes like some characters are kinda mid and i think there should be general updates to spice things up all and all just needs some updates

Really fun game, use Steam Remote Play to play multiplayer. Really cheap on discount as well. Team composition and placement is key

I got this game for a buck, I still don't recommend it. It's like a more annoying version of pong where you swing at the ball as it comes to you. You have a dash and each character gets a super meter that only charges as you get hurt instead of successful attacks, or hits. This is intended as a comeback mechanic, but is actually punishing the player for doing well. Each character has a different super move and stats, the music might as well not be there, you won't notice it over the stock beep and boop sound effects. The graphics are the best aspect of the game, which lose their charm quickly as nothing is quite as detailed as the title screen.

there's no tutorial for the game control so you may end up confuse at the first place.. if you're using keyboard, here are the keys used for the controls WASD = move around F = hitting the ball G = speed up movement H = (probably) ultimate when the gauge is full the visual is good, characters are interesting, ultra language is anjay damn 10/10, music is very, very nice to be honest it's kinda annoys me since there is no custom keybinding.. I'd prefer put the (FGH) keys to the (M<>) keys. Maybe there is another keys for that but I didn't figure it out yet since there's no control hint whatsoever Then again, I am lucky to get this at discount price.. especially if the game is packed with fun like this one. I just hope the dev will update the keybinds
It's a fun game.
Might be short for singleplayer, but you can buy it and play multiplayer via Steam Remote Play Together. The trailer should tell you all you need to know. Pong but also fighters. So here's the classic list:
Good things:
(+)Design and Gameplay = quite interesting. Indie games nowadays do mix-and-match genres. Sometimes they don't work but this one does. (+) Music = can't really describe it, it's just cool sounding.
Important things to know (Neutral points, i guess):
(•) Definitely more fun if you have friends, I played alone and it was a bit short. There's hard difficulty though. And since playing as a character gives a unique start-screen-story and a unique end-screen-story, there is value in replaying the game. (•) Hit angle matters. Hitting causes a curved line to appear. As you can guess, where the ball is when you hit it will affect where the ball will go. (•) I couldn't really tell when my dash recharged. It's a short cooldown, definitely, and it's just a small dash. If there was a way to know when I could dash again, it probably wasn't obvious enough. But then again, short cooldown, this point doesn't matter much. (•) The ball can sometimes go faster? not sure what causes this, maybe consecutive hits from you and the opponent if the ball hasn't touched the crystal / the floating barrier blocks / maybe it also includes sides of the screen? idk. would love to know about this, or, again, if there was a tutorial.
I did have some issues though:
(-) [strike]very minor issue, but[/strike] there's only two difficulty levels. Also it defaults to "ultra" and i had to switch it to normal when starting a new game. I assume "ultra" is harder than "normal". Would have loved to see more difficulty range but i understand it might be hard/annoying to program multiple different AI intelligence, especially for such a simple game. Of course, not that I would know how game difficulty development works or anything. (-) Can't rebind controls. maybe this was in the game and I just didn't realize or notice (-) No tutorial on how to do things other than the intuitive-ish movement. And after opening the options menu, I couldn't see any sort of controls either (hence my point above). They think it's so easy to learn&play that I had to spend 2 minutes pressing each button while majorly losing the first game ever. Player 1 = WASD movement, F for hit, G for dash, H for Ultra. Player 2 = Arrow key movement, "," "." "/" for the rest but i forgot. I might be wrong on player 2 buttons but I'm sure for the player 1 buttons. Overall: pretty fun! Not sure about the price but hey, there's always discounts and winter sale. Keep an eye out for this one. I'd say it's as fun as Super Hexagon, but maybe somewhat more fun. To the devs: would love these features, some already mentioned above: -obvious dash recharge(highly optional) -rebinding controls -tutorials -More flexibility for custom multiplayer matches (currently, other than picking stage+character, you can only choose amount of players (1v1/2v2) and Rounds (1, 3 or 5 rounds). Would love to be able to get more settings like how many Hits we/our crystal can take (1 to 10), or maybe fun little cheats/game modifiers like Double Ultra Fill Rate or Double those floating thingies that protect the crystal.

Ultra Space Battle disappointed me. I expected a mix of pong and Lethal League. But I got a “spam-the-button-game” instead. Yes, you will have to move your character towards the ball, but that’s basically the whole game. You will just need to spam the “hit”-button and use your ult every now and then. Really basic game that quickly gets boring. The character choice is great though and each character has his own special attack. The graphics aren’t really good, and the screen shakes weirdly every time you hit the ball. The best thing about this game is the soundtrack. It is really good.

Ultra Space Battle Brawl is a way too good arcade title based in part conceptually on Pong, wrapped in a pronounced Street Fighter vibe where players swing bats to make contact with the ball to attack your opponents targets. Destroying all targets or leading when time expires .... WINNER!!!! .... or else .... LOSER!!!! .... Single player story mode against multiple character personalities with continues if you are a .... LOSER!!!! .... Two difficultly levels normal and ultra. Normal challenge is easy though the last character personality is difficult on normal. Each player builds a power-up bar until full which enables a character's special attack. Versus mode Split Screen PVP and Split Screen COOP make an awesome local party game. Supports remote play though I gather the parties would require an immaculate connection since game-play is fast, furious and frenetic. Highly recommended.
