If you love rhythm games and have ever thought, "What if I could slash my way to victory?"—then Slash It Ultimate is your jam (literally). This neon-soaked, beat-driven frenzy will have you slicing through letters, numbers, and symbols like a futuristic ninja DJ. The music? Absolute bangers. The visuals? A dazzling light show. The challenge? Oh, it'll keep your fingers dancing and your brain sweating. It's fast, it's fun, and it's the perfect mix of "just one more try" and "okay, maybe ten more." Just be warned—once you start, you might not stop until your fingers file for worker’s comp.

If I could, I’d give this a mixed review, but since that’s not an option, I have to rate it negatively. The game has some fun and interesting mechanics, but the frustration and poor design choices outweigh the positives. First, for a rhythm game, the notes are neither synced to the music nor consistent in their timing across songs. In some modes, like numbers, alphabet, and words, this isn't a big issue. However, in modes that rely on precise timing—such as space, mouse, and arrow key mode—it becomes a major problem. Hitting a note on beat should feel satisfying, but when the game’s timing is off, you end up losing your combo unfairly, making for a frustrating experience. There are also some baffling design choices, like the box and arrow key modes. In box mode, you have to jump over gaps, but every time you press the jump button, the camera rotates 90 degrees, which also changes the movement controls. This makes it unnecessarily difficult to keep track of what’s happening and feels more disorienting than fun. In arrow key mode, there are four lanes, but the notes appear in completely random directions. There’s a reason games like DDR assign a specific direction to each lane—so players can quickly recognize which key to press. Here, you have to manually read each note as it approaches, which is both unintuitive and frustrating. TL;DR: The game has some fun mechanics, but they're overshadowed by questionable design decisions. If you're looking for a casual way to waste a few hours, it's okay. But if you're aiming for full completion, expect a lot of frustration along the way.

While I liked the previous slash it games this one has a few big issues that leads me to put negative review, though perhaps a bit late. Cube mode is absolutely awful, it can give you a headache, literally, where not only it switched cameras (and thus controls) each time you jump, but it can also have near-impossible (or impossible) cubes to get because of rng right after a wall, or in the middle of a jump, because the cubes are not glued to the background, they "slide"... I also have an issue that in most or all modes the "accuracy" is not really accuracy because you make 1 miss it can take away 5, 10, or more, everything that is on screen, so that means you could in theory get better results by failing more/earlier, compared to getting to a higher point, for example on "words" mode, and losing several "lanes" at once... *edit* Oh yeah also at least 1 achievement seems bugged, I may have to reset game if I ever get to 99%+ and try to get them over again because it did not proc, steam was online so it is something with the game, not offline issues. *edit* Ironically this game is cheaper than slash it 1 and 2 but they are both too expensive imo, this game at least has a lot of different modes and I do not think the price is so wrong here, just that I have issues with some gameplay mechanics.
