Pretty unique and cool tower defense. Underrated.

Green hills 5-1 seems unbeatable...
...I'm not just going to keep trying forever. Eventually you get a swarm that no random selection can defeat. If it's an RNG scenario where I try 20 more times before I fluke it, I will not be pleased.
There is no help button, hint, video, walkthrough OR discussion about it that I can find.

An enjoyable little lane defense title. Very little is explained, but after a couple of run throughs on the new levels, you soon work out the tactics (hopefully). It is a bit more strategic than it first appears.

Surprisingly good lane defense title. The game does start out incredibly bland and until the first hour and a bit I was certain this was going to get a negative review. I stayed with it and was glad I did. The game typically got better and better.
There's a few things I feel you should know if you're thinking about investing your time into this game:
1) After a certain point, the game is highly punishing. There's no lifelines e.g. 'lawnmowers' as in PvZ; if one enemy breaches your defenses, it's level over. This can be extra punishing as many levels consist of multiple rounds meaning that if you have a breach in the third or fourth round of a level, you have to start from the first round of that level, not the round you actually lost.
2) There's almost no help/tutorials. There's quite a lot of options and effects for your towers which are generated by combining different syringe colours. The options are implemented well and you will need to exploit them to progress and win the game. You'll have to figure this out yourself. Some bosses have very strange tactics which you'll be completely in the dark about.
3) There's actually a fair amount of content but new content isn't really handed to the player in a linear fashion. Later into the game, I feel syringe aquisition becomes faster as does enemy type. Early on in the game, you may be bored to tears with only a few syringe types.
4) There is a fast forward button which will come in very handy if you know about it. Middle mouse button.
For fans of tower defense.

This is supposed to be a lane defense a la Plants vs. Zombies, except without plants. It has some promise, but it just feels very unfinished. The stage labeled as "tutorial" doesn't really explain anything beyond the very basic "how to place tower" and "what mouse button to use". After that, it's a wild guessing game what towers do or what enemies are vulnurable to. There is no menu, no pause, no back to level select, no nothing. That's just too barebones to recommend it.
