Works flawlessly with Oculus Quest by forcing the Windows 7 compatibility to the executable file. Very good game, fun, easy to play, well polished. Does require just a small play space.

Don't buy this game! It's dead and the developer has left the game. A few years ago i played High Clear VR on my Mixed reality glasses (Samsung HMD Odyssey+) and i liked it very much. Unfortenately i didn't have enough room to play. Now i have enough room to play but switched to the Quest 2. All my VR games are now working without any problem, except High Clear VR. When i try to start it, it will quickly go back to the Steam home VR-environment. I did a factory reset on my Quest 2, had Steam check the files and reinstalled the game. Also i reinstalled the Meta Quest link software. Nothing seems to work.

This was the first VR game that really sold it to me So fun. Takes some getting use to but it's a great way to break a sweat if you put some effort in.

I had a blast playing this game. I was surprised that this game worked perfectly fine with standing room only using only 2 sensors with the Oculus Rift and touch controllers. The dev really needs to add Oculus Rift support in the store description I will definitely have to try room scale. But even at standing room only this game was fun to play. That's because of the VR environments, the avatars, the controls were all superb. I had no problems with tracking and the gameplay was superfast and addicting. In fact, the only problem I had was with the VR mini-games included. But since I only had standing room space only, I can't say it's anything wrong with the game. I have not tried multi-player. Even on easy on single player, the game was quite challenging for a noob like me to Badminton. Rating 8/10 .. definitely a must buy at the current sale price of $9.99, lot of bang for your buck here, especially if you have a friend to PvP with

Great game but unable to launch as of 01/08/22. Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't fix nor does verifying the integrity of the cache :/

Please give the player an option to turn off assisted moving. It is just not fun for the game to move me. It would be so little work to have just put in the option. Players like options.

It would have been a little unfair to review this on purchase, however one patch later we can get some rallys going, point out the flaws, and sing about the positives. Now with the initial problems with the ai being flawed have disapeared, the challenge is there for the moderate player on the pro setting, and you can take that to the extreme on the next level up. That had to happen to get any sort of game going. The last patch very much represents 50% there though in terms of where it needs to be, in terms of the ai and shot placement and power of the player. Playing to the line and around the court does work, but the AI can still do which you are unable. You can smash, but the ai can actualy hammer it like you would like to, you can loft it up to the back court on a defensive, but the ai can go mile high with it. It's the same with the ai, easy to exploit before at the net on more tactile shots, now not so much. I believe the former is an easy fix given the steps already taken, the later is more of a challenge. The pace of the game generally is there, i think with more powerfull shots available to the player, it could play perfectly. The tactile play of badminton is allready 90% there, the ai seems to be able to slice across the shuttle though where again i havn't been able to replicate it. Playing around with the limited options there is a 'shot responce/power' meter which has been blacked out that might change things, also a teleport option. I tried the teleport, i was playing on the highest level, but it was far to quick, you get less than a second to react. In normal play the ability to see the shot coming and decide the shot to play is what badminton is all about. Thats my opinion, you may differ on that. The core of the game is there, it just needs refining, and a ton of more selectables. it's very evident to the model is virtual tennis with it's mini games and presentation, what it now needs is for all that to have meaning that way it connects in sega's initial offering. More characters, with indivual style, custom outfitting, score tables on the mini's beyond the collective rank... tours, leveling, everything that made VT great. I think maybe im getting a little carried away, but badminton is definatley just as fun a game as tennis, more so in vr, and deserves a fleshed out game in all that manner. As it is, if you'd really like a badminton game you can knock about in, and £15 pounds for doing so isn't too higher barrier, then id recommend it on the understanding it still has all those flaws as of writing this. If the future tells multiplayer though and single player structure, this is absolutely a game worth that price, ill be the first in line to challenge anybody, i enjoy playing it.

The Match mode is a real sport that makes you sweat, but the other side's computer is too easy for me. It should be higher level. You need a delicate batting for the Funny mode. The Bug mode can be hard and complicated with too many bugs. The rest of the mode is dynamic and good for stress relief.

WHY ASSISTED LOCOMOTION????? i made a 8m x 8m room for games like this to be able to freely play and run physically in my room. but of course it's not possible because assisted locomotion is FORCED on us...come on man, please add an option to remove assisted locomotion and i'll give this game a thumbs up. please.

Positiv: + The latest update added a lot of menu options: 3 Difficulty settings, Sound/locomotion options. Very fast fix thanks! + No longer nauseating they added teleport locomotion! + The game is fun + Good graphics + Good menu (big fonts, clear easy to navigate) + Very good sounds + Good atmosphere (spectators!) + Highscores + Feels well polished overall with some things left coud easy be fixed + The minigames are brilliant and funny (can we have more?) + Slow motion effetcs + Very exact implementation of original rules Neutral: ° "Funny" game modes allow infinite shuttlecock shoots out of that mashine and they all fly in exactly the same path. The result is that you just need to swing the arm in the air left and right and cheat your way through the waves untill you feel tired of doing it that way. Need to fix it by making the path slightly random! ° missing a "free play" mode where the enemy always plays back no matter where you hit or how bad your serve was (EDIT: They added amateur difficulty that comes realy close to a free play mode) * Missing different graphics options * They fixed the serve, the vive controller is no longer hiding the shuttlecock and it only falls when you let the trigger go. But I woud still prefere an option to hide the controller Negative: - The scale of everything is a bit too small the racket feels small compared to a vive controller the playspace feels smaller then the offical 13,4m x 6,1m - There is no reason to move the player while doing a serve please fix this - Noticed a bug where you can smash the shuttlecock through the net sometimes and get a positiv score for it.
