Excellent, excellent route with tons of includes scenarios and lots in the Steam workshop.
A great American diesel switching route. Not the most modern, would love to see an update.

Plenty of scenarios to run, nothing too long. This is good for a quick haul.

I was curious about this route after seeing it mentioned in a Facebook group and decided to purchase it. Although all scenarios are in standard mode, I still find the route to be interesting to operate. There are some smaller criticisms like lack of locomotive and equipment variety (and inaccuracies like 2-bay hoppers for grian in the modern-era), but still feel the route was worth it. I ended up researching some of this area after getting the route and feel it has potential to be expanded and even back-dated to when the routes were owned and operated by PRR and B&O. If this was done, there could be through trains along with local services and maybe even live interchange with other railroads. Hopefully Ohio Steel 3 does end up being created as I would gladly purchase that route as well.

No shortage of good scenarios. I also like this route for running the NKP Berkshire add on.

This is an excellent route especially for someone new to US railroading. It has mainline, branch line and switching scenarios. There is enough AI traffic to maintain interest on the longer hauls. The scenics are good although there is a defect with road vehicles causing black walls to appear, this is disconcerting at first but .... there is a fix available from RWA site. Some of the switching is easy other parts are more complex. Shame the author, Rich Garber, has retired as the proposed extensions will now not happen. It is still well worth the money and you can always download scenarios from the workshop and why not write some yourself?

A rather busy but sometimes laid back route with plenty of scenarios "all standard". You'll mostly be peforming shunting and trip trains to yards and sidings in your trusty SD-40 loco in either a plain black or union pacific colour scheme. Don't expect fast runs as most yards have 20mph zones and ranging up to 40mph after hitting the open road. But some caution is advised. The switches will mostly require manual operation, however the automatic switches once moved stay that way so accidents will happen if the wrong siding is chosen. All in all it's worth the money with plenty to do, thumbs up here.

Definitely recommended, even in 2020.
The downsides:
- some faulty automobile assets, showing up as large sheets - fix available, should have been fixed on Steam
- 2D trees - leads to an upside
- two scenarios are faulty - one with AI collision halfway, the other with objective - you can fix both
The upsides:
- the scenery is really nice, both in terms of detail as well as scenes, there is always something nice to look at: bushes, forests lining rolling fields with some farms, abandoned sheds, complex industries; I couldn't stop screenshotting
- 2D assets allow scenery density rivaling most modern routes, and it runs at good framerates, works best from the cab
- a bit of everything: single track branch with passing loops; a double track branch plotted with industries; a double track mainline; two large industries with switching options
- light running is mostly cut out, so scenarios are even more about the fun part
Opportunities:
- the route is operated by RJ Corman & Norfolk Southern today, though in reality everything is one scale smaller
=> suitable to run your Geeps on the branches and big diesels on the mainline (can also swap in metal waste and finished product cars)

I got this route 2 days ago now. I must say it's an older route, but it's a very beautiful route. If you like a lot of crossings this is the route for you. What I like about it is the amount of scenery and detail to the route, and going along the country side I love that kind of stuff. Overall I like this route.

This is pretty nice, plenty of scenarios and fun to play. I'm from the area that this is based on and it's relatively well put together. There were a few places where there are some major inaccuracies, but overall not bad. I was even able to find my parent's house along the route. Not perfectly modeled, but recognizable....pretty cool.
