This is a great engine, unfortunately the route that this goes with is no longer available. That said, if you were lucky enough to buy this prior to 2014 great, but this doesnt mean "dont buy it". This still feels home to the upper portion of the NEC: NewYork - Newhaven and is nestalgic running over Hell's gate bridge. I have a sneaking suspicion that the NEC will be re-released after getting tracks relaid as running this engine on that route made me sea-sick (Also when driving the AEM-7). Also, I'm putting money on the NEC being retextured and bundled as a money-grab for TS2017/18. In all, its a decent model. Have to understand this was released in 2011 so it was textured in an older version.

I Have Seen This Engiine Many Times Back In The 70es At That Time It Was Penn Central An Some Amtrak The Loco Drives Great An Breakes Realy Good But One Thing No HeadLights In Real Life The Train had Head Lights

A very nice loco. Impressive looks and power. It has one of the best horns I've heard in the game. The scenarios are quite long (50-140 mins). Worth recommending.

There allot of small things wrong with this loco. First off almost all buttons and switches have the wrong function, the pantograph up/down switch is modeled but has no function (big light switch thingy left of drivers window) and then the 4 switches left of the driver have all the wrong functions (they are only buttons for lights). Secondly the 5 gauges to the left of the motor ammeters aren't even modeled. Finally a bunch of parts, interior and exterior, aren't there, modeled incorrectly or are very specific the a single locomotive. the proportions probably aren't even correct for the loco. looking at how wrong everything is on this loco always makes me cringe at how bad it is.

I initially bought this on a whim. A scenario I wanted to play needed it & for the price I figured why not. Since then I have come to truly enjoy this locomotive! Its beautiful to look at & enjoyable to operate. There are 2 minor things about it that I dont like. The external sounds for one. Inside the cab sounds great but the exterior sounds are frankly underwhelming. The other is there is some small amount of clipping at the edges of your view. This sort of understandable since it is such a small cab & if you zoom your view 2 spaces eliminates it. All in all a solid locomotive that would be a bargain at twice the price.

This one is an amazing streamliner, I love its air horn. My only issue with it is that it lacks a multitude of Tracks in can run on. With only three as of now.

This is a truly iconic and ground breaking electric locomotive that was hitting speeds of 100 mph before WW2. THe chance to drive one, then, could not be missed and the loco expansion pack does not disappoint, although you have to get used to the throttle and braking systems. The only downside is that the route it runs on (New York - Philadelphia) does not have adequate speed restriction signs and on my first run I derailed after hitting an unsigned 45mph restriction at 110mph. If you can get round that, this is definitely worth the purchase price.

Great historical and experience value. 3 working scenarios, +1 with player timetable problem and +1 with AI collision near the end. Looks fine enough. In-cab sounds are nice, external is just a sinus. Swaying is a bit too much - old NEC track quality isn't great to begin with. The power curve is unusual - after initial low-speed ramp-up it's completely flat (max) until 100 mph. If you're into the idea of the era around 1950-1970, it's great alongside the Horseshoe Curve and its DLCs. There are many scenarios in the workshop, unfortunately many of those require US-only content (the BNSF-non-deal).

Love at first sight. I saw one of these beauties at the IRM (Illinois Railway Museum, Union, IL) sitting there. Sadly people added graffiti by using their hands on the dust. It was sad to see the messages on it. xD
