The game is pretty nice, short and not too hard. There are some times where you can get stuck on the puzzles as it doesn't tell you much about it, the killer is also abnormally fast in some scenes? Other then that it's an okay game, I played both ending A and B and the side story, with the detective.
If you want something short and can get scared easily then try it out!

I had to give this a negative review as there seems to be a glitch near what I would assume is the beginning of the climax of the game. I can't continue the game from this point. I have tried looking to see if maybe it was that I'm missing an item or a piece of dialogue, but I keep getting killed off or nothing new happens. I have looked up any form of tutorial, walkthrough, or forum to see if there's anything to help me, but there isn't much info out there on this game. Since I can't continue the game, I have to give it a negative review.
The story seemed interesting but a bit weird. It was starting to grow on me until it glitched, which is unfortunate. I haven't gone back since I last played to see if this issue was fixed.

This game is quite good for a dollar or less. I just have issues on the controls as there is no prompt stating that which buttons are to be used. Gladly, people who have experienced playing gameboy emulators can adapt fairly quickly.
Pros:
Theme: Mystery
Cheap game
Suspense and Thriller
Riddles
Cons:
User Interface (might need some adjustments)
Controls (a little bit; may need a dash button but maybe that's just me)
No in game guide when you're lost (or maybe it was intended for you to guess similar to a broken house scenario)
For a dollar or less, this game is probably good for those who want something new to the suspense genre.

My Review of Humble Abode:
Humble Abode is a good start for Venomyth Game Studio's first game. It's not a very long game but it does have some issues that the developer should probably address.
Pros:
-Good attempt at story telling. The game has an aurora of mystery around it (not all of its questions are answered however) so a possible sequel may be in the works.
-The puzzles although simplistic enough do require some forthought. Its not them most challenging puzzles you will ever see though (lots of item searching and such) but the game doesn't overstay its welcome so I can give it a pass.
-Two different ending: One good and the other bad depending on what course of action you take in the end. It doesn't add replayablility but it encourages you to load up your last save and find the other ending.
-The game is a cheap price so you get about two hours of gameplay for a dollar. Not bad!
Cons:
-The game does have some bugs and scripting errors. (Ex. In the guest bedroom, Eddy heres the door open and remarks that the killer may be in the room. After that cutscene, if you do back to that spot the same cutscene will play again even if you already saw it)
-The game lacks a "objective" screen for finding out where to go and what to find. Granted Eddy's home is not very big but that could definetly be a useful thing to add in an update since the game require some code entering to continue in spots.
-Depending on how good or bad you are at puzzles, you could potentially get stuck if puzzle solving isnt your thing.
Overall, if you want a thiller that can last you through the afternoon try this game. It may not be for everyone but its fun while it lasts.
