Am I doing something wrong?? I bought the game and dlc at the same time, it says its installed, but the game still "bleeps"?! I am gladly supportering the game developers by buying this "bleeping dlc". Can someone please explain why my game still bleeps with this installed?

...I'm not gonna lie, it was worth the $2 to discover the script wasn't full of Donut Buttons.

Its not worth that two bucks, it should be available for free from the beginning, but buy it to support developers, because Ron Gilbert and Garry Winnick are still kings of point'n'click adventure games.

Why would you make it disabled by default? This is not a free DLC, I understand that it is a way to support the developers and I paid it for this unnecessary feature because I like the base game, but every time I loaded the game I forgot to enable it and missed some lines of Ransome the *Beeping* Clown. *Beep* you developers!

Love it! Much more useful than the Horse Armor for "Return to Monkey Island".

It is weird to pay for an option in the menu that does not even stay checked upon reload, but I gave it a shot... And if anything ever deserved a neutral recommendation it is this. (However, that is not an option so recommend?) If you want swearing, then buy. Dialogue is still cut because everyone other than Ransome is still bleeped out, but it is cheap. If you need to keep it family friendly, think the beeps are funnier, or simply cannot stand that it is DLC, then pass.

Hahaha! Absolutely hilarious, dollar well spent! It's the little details like this that I really appreciate about this game. It's completely optional and not a necessary addition - you won't be missing anything if you don't add this DLC but I'm quite happy to support the developers. After reading their blog and listening to their podcasts I recognize how much work went into making this an option, so a dollar seems more than reasonable.

yeah paying is weird but i take this as a way to support awesome developers, you dont lose anything by having the beeps in the main game, its actually pretty funny that way.

It's interesting to hear the original lines without the beeps. That said... well... the game is just waaayyyy funnier with the beeping, if you ask me. Hearing the unbeeped swear words gets old really quick. Been hearing a lot of complaints about the fact that it's a paid DLC (unlike the free updates the game got in the past, like the arcade). All I can say is: The developers listened to fans on the internet who wanted Ransome without the "censorship" (if you can even call it that, seeing how the beeps are the real intended joke). Also, the developers have *always* listened to the fans so far. People complaining about the way the toilet paper hangs? They put in an option for that. People complaining about the in-jokes? (*sigh* ... some people complain about everything...) They put in an option for that, too. That alone deserves praise, if you ask me, so I gladly paid to get this bonus for the game. If you don't want to pay money for it, which is fine, then you're not missing out on much, in my opinion – because, again, Thimbleweed Park without the beeps isn't the way it's meant to be anyway. It's nice to have the option though.
