Another great adventure game from Pilgrim Adventures. It shows that good writing can overcome everything including using RPG Maker.

the story is engaging and thought provoking. Very linear as you play through changing the story as you see fit but well rendered. This would make a very solid platform for an open world mmo which i hope someone does. I also enjoyed the characters as I played they had more depth than one would think. Nice game for the intellectual.

I love this game so much - I've always loved the underdog stories - I won't spoil anything but this game is awesome - so many choices, missions, and an amazing set of endings. There is no game where you have more ability to be truly unique in your choices. There are no words to describe how much I love this game <333333333333

Story-based sci-fi game with lots of character development. 12 endings, but only the last part of the game needs to be repeated several times to get all the endings. I only had to start from the beginning twice and the action was different enough the second time to be worthwhile. You have to want to get invested in a story, characters and ethical choices. The action is mostly very simple and the dialogue response choices make up most of the nuance. If you like firefly/rimworld type environments and want something that focuses on story, this is a good adventure. The side episodes of 'photuris' add an interesting layer of cultural anachronism.

I love games that let you be a complete sociopath, and this one gives you countless opportunities for that! In the line of the Space Pilgrim games but darker and with more of your choices affecting the characters around you. Pretty good replay value too, there's no way you'll get all the achievements and story branches in one playthrough. Give it a try if just to be in the role of an android with free will!

To me, this game is a metaphor for corporate life. You play a game of trust, taking sides, fulfilling your duties as you see fit. If you enjoyed The Deed, you will be happy to know the writing in this game is also very juicy. Characters recollect many things that you did / told them and every dialogue choice you make is responded by NPC's like how a real life conversation would flow. To top it off, the game has meaningful philosophical themes which culminate in the multi-endings.

Humanity never stood a chance. Sadly, I can't write a full review with out spoiling a lot. So, I'm just going to say this is an easier point and click adventure game this is more about the intellectual exploration of artificial intelligence. I have to admit, I really, really liked it, and as of this writing I've unlocked MOST of the endings. There's a lot of discussions and points brought up that are sourced from real world scientists and their talks about A.I. If you aren't super familiar with the subject, it'll make you think. If you are, it'll be amazing to see such a realistic approach to how humans deal with A.I. and what we consider sentient or merely a copy. Be mindful of your choices.

A nice point-and-click adventure with a great soundtrack and an engaging story. Choices you make have an impact on certain elements of the story - I'll definitely do another playthrough later to see what would have happened had I chosen differently.

I've enjoyed most of Pilgrim Adventure's games, but this one was a miss for me. The pacing is incredibly slow, too slow. Plot developments move at a snail's pace, and so does your character. Even with 'always run' on, your run speed feels more like a walk. And given that this game mostly involves walking around and talking to NPCs, this is a huge problem. The buildings all look the same, and its tricky to distinguish NPCs at a glance. Most of my gameplay was spent searching for people. You have a Mission Log, but this doesn't always tell you where to go. It may just say 'speak to x character' but if you've forgotten who they are (because they're so unmemorable) it becomes very difficult to track them down. You do have a map, but it doesn't indicate where you or other characters are on it. I think it's telling that less than 10% of players have even gotten past the 1st day, according to Steam achievements. Many may own this game due to bundles, but it's still a very low percentage. If you want to play this purely for the story, be aware that an early decision seems to have quite a big impact on endings available to you. Whether or not you
kill a bug for Walden
becomes quite important, according to the Steam walkthroughs containing spoilers. In my 2 hours of gameplay, I felt that nothing really happened. It felt like the game was building to *something* but there was no suspense or feeling of anticipation. Nothing compelled me to continue. I was hoping for discourse on the meaning of existence, sentience (given the title!) and humanity. Maybe that was asking too much, but brief conversations between NPCs at the start of each day wasn't enough for me. You can view security footage every day in the main building with the vending machine (can't remember what it's even called). This does add more story in, but it's still lacking. I really wanted to like this game, but I just can't recommend it. If the map were better, if buildings had more differentiation, your run speed were much faster, heck, if more happened in general? I'd have different things to say. But in its current form, I'd suggest skipping this one.

Nice futuristic RPG maker game. You play as a human shaped-like AI gifted with free will.. Pros : Very good plot, interesting storyline if you're into AI, if you wonder the role they should have in the future, the position we should give them towards humans. Philosophical reflexion ahead. These concepts and questions are fully exploited by the game. Not much difficulty if you follow your tasks log, look everywhere and talk to everyone. Except for one thing : how identifying which event you triggered (by making some specific choices) will cause or allow which endings. Be aware and cautious. Be prepared to read a bit (dialogues, for you'll have many decisions to make). Really liked the music, perfect for the genre. Cons : Little replayability, though necessary to watch all endings (and get all achievements). Despite that point "Sentience: the android's tale" really is a good and enjoyable game.
