First few minutes I really didnt know what the heck was going on. Then noticed the fire covering the city. Quite disturbing visuals. Looked rather apocalyptic in it's suggestion. Definitely a keeper. Well done dev. The music was good too. Recommended!

Way too short,. Apex has an interesting premise but it is far too short for the asking price. Pick it up on a heavy sale maybe if you are into this sort of thing.

I love this, its basically awesome! Please keep making these, well worth the £2, same as half a pint of beer :) I would love to sit through a whole album of these, would be epic. Keep up the good work!

Got this on sale for a couple of bucks. Even though it only lasts a few mins, it truly captures how powerful VR can be in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing. Many VR games just feel like you may as well be playing pancake mode, but this VR music video packs a visceral punch that most VR games lack, but that can only be delivered with VR.

Pretty much just a 5 minute long experimental apocalyptic VR music video with the sun consuming everything in its path. The impressive spectacle of the worlds demise is accompagnied by some fittingly dark and screeching electronic music by Arjan van Meerten. No interactions besides of in the menu and the 360 view in the experience. I liked it a lot but due to its short length i'd say that it would propably make more sense to cost around 1 euro compared to its current base price of 2.99 euros. I paid 2.09 euros on a sale and im not as such disapointed by paying that as i liked it and i'll gladly support the team behind it if it means that they will potentially release new experimental projects down the road. In general though i think a lot of people would deem the price well beyond steep for what they actually get for the money so ill deffently recommend getting it on a great discount. Anyways as i allready said i liked it for what it was but hopefully when the real apocalypse arrives it will last a bit longer because i'll be there with a big smile on my face if it is reminiscent of Apex.

I have never reviewed anything on Steam before. This experience was so amazing, that I felt compelled to write this review. I cannot believe that this isn't in the top 20 VR experiences on Steam. I strongly believe that this is a new form of art. It is a fusion of moving 3D imagery with music that is the closest you will get to actually experiencing the imagination of Arjan van Meerten. This is the future of art. A static 2D painting - lame. A static 3D sculpture - lame. A 2D music video - lame. Arjan van Meerten's music / VR experience - freaking mind blown. Please Arjan van Meerten, House of Secrets, and Wevr... MORE OF THIS!!!

While Apex as good, Surge was far better. Surge had more items timed and reacting with the music. The items reacting and being closer to the viewer provide an immersive music video. I would love to see this form of VR experience become more common.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
This is a good music video / cinematic short experience for VR on the Unreal Engine. It has no interactions and you can look around 360 and see different stuff going on. It lasts about 4-5 minutes. The graphics are good, not great. Experience ran smoothly on High settings on my 1060 GTX. I liked the music. I enjoyed the strange, trippy visuals. I'm not even sure how to describe it. Maybe it's some cataclysmic event that engulfs the night sky and spawns some life forms born of fire or the dark. Not sure what it all meant, but I was entertained. Rate 6.5/10. Got this during the Steam Fall Sale 2019. Yeah, the normal price is a little high given the amount of content, but the sale price is perfect IMO.

Way too expensive (3$) as it's very short. Still, they did Surge that is free, and I want to support VR artist.

1 word: Cool. Its basically a post apocalyptic music video (not a game). This is a really good use for VR technology in art. Im not sure what the music genre is to help understand what it sounds like in a review. I'll call it Post-SynthMetal out of pure ignorance. I had to hook this up to a proper Hi-Fi setup because I thought my occulus built in headphones couldnt quite reproduce the fidelity in the track, but it was the track's intentional use of distortion to create the ambiance. I would really like to see a much longer version of this as this is fairly short at only a few minutes. From an artistic perspective, there were some inconsistencies in style and theme that left me wondering, but thats art. I would suggest picking getting it. For less than the cost of a starbucks you can support an artist that is pioneering his way into a new medium with hopes of more to come.
