It is an interesting experience in VR, but it just seems off. The scale of the ships doesn't quite match up and everything seems smaller. The ships look fine from a distance but the details seem to fade as you get closer to them. You can fly around the exterior of the ships and kind of see what it's like on them. The problem is that if you look closely at the detailing, some of the items on the deck seem out of place and almost as if they look appropriate but don't do anything. The carrier was the first place that I noticed things that seemed odd. The "Island" seemed relatively small compared to the rest of the ship and there is an empty room at the bottom and aft which seems to serve no purpose. It might have been cool to see hatches, writing, or some kind of interior area. The elevators didn't seem to match up with the lines on the flight deck and the hangar seemed empty. The cruise liner seemed like it would have been interesting but some things seemed off. There is a single room which you can almost go inside and then you look at the wall and see windows that continue into a corner. The window goes past a corner wall and just doesn't look right. A lot of things about the details just seem repeated and like they have no functional purpose. It might be interesting if you have never seen any of these things, but if you start thinking about what you're seeing it won't quite add up. Ultimately, I would not recommend the game as I was slightly disappointed by it.
Similar Experience to Volume 1- I Liked It, but I Still Want a Snap-Turn
I just posted my review below verbatim from what I wrote for volume 1. Essentially, I felt that the pluses and minus are the same. Played on Oculus Rift CV1 with Touch controllers. I don't have a particular interest in ships or maritime history, so I was reluctant to pick this up. Since I like casual VR experiences, and all the reviews are positive, I thought I'd give this one a try. I purchased a bundle (Volumes 1 and 2). The wave effects and time of day changes are excellent. I wouldn't mind a little more resolution on some of the ship textures, but they still look good. I have enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset from several of the ships. I also had fun playing with the model ships in the park. My only major complaint is the lack of a snap-turn option. I have 360 tracking, but I'm still tethered. Few things break immersion more than constant worry about a wire tangling and twisting. The fact that the joystick is used to toggle between ships made it more frustrating- I accidentally tried to snap-turn on more than one occasion and found myself looking at an entirely different boat. I like the existing trigger and point movement, but a snap-turn would be a huge enhancement to the controls. It would make navigating on and around the boats much more natural and enjoyable. Outside of this one complaint, I found it to be a pleasant experience and will probably revisit the boats on often.

From the same people who brought you "VROOM: GALLEON", this is essentially just a detailed 3D model of various ships with some added effects. Spending $10 on it might be a bit much since there's no game here, but each ship is pretty well modeled (on the exterior anyway) and you can even go below the water level to get a look at the hull, rudder and propellers/screws. It's pretty much the same thing as Volume 1 (and you can read that review for more details rather than just copy-pasting it all from one review to the other). You get 6 ships to choose from: an 18th British Warship, US Aircraft Carrier (complete with planes flying off the deck), Jacques-Yves Cousteu's famous ship (the Calypso), the Ocean Liner Queen Mary 2, a WWII German U-Boat, and a Coast Guard Ice breaker ship. You can change the time of day/night which is nice and for each ship there's an extra event you can trigger that sorta demonstrates some of it's power and abilities. You can also sail a mini Remote Control version of it around a small pond (complete with mermaid). There's also a camera on board the RC version so you can have a view off the deck of your mini ship as you sail it around. Supposedly there's also a mode where you can try to compete with a ghost ship to pick up the most buoys in this mode, but I haven't tried it. Other than that, the only thing to do is fly/float around/under each ship and appreciate the detail in the models (which is why I think $10 is a bit much for this sort of thing). I think it might actually do better if they gave the base game for free and sold extra ship models as DLC for a reasonable price. Some ideas that could really help out this title would be if they added more information about each ship, maybe with a narrated tour. Also, the ability to go into the ships themselves and explore the interiors would be awesome, but on some ships that'd be more of a pain to create than others. The 18th century warship? no big deal. The Navy Aircraft carrier? That might be a security risk for our military secrets. Still, it would be more educational. BUT it's a cool little experience and probably very little chance of making someone sick (though standing on the deck of the U-Boat as the waves crash over you MIGHT make you seasick for real).

I love ships so bought both. This is very good! My favorite is the Victory. So much detail it is fun to explore. I like the dolphins and watching ice break. The ships even light up at night! Will there be volume 3?
