Overall good game as usual for shadow wolf mysteries. Love these games, can give a little challenge though.

I have to say that this game made quite an impression on me. I like it from the very beginning. You are the detective called by the town prefect to solve the mysterious cases of werewolf attacks. As you go from one location to another, interrogating suspects and learning more about wolves, you get the uneasy feeling of being tricked. The more you learn about the case, the clearer the identity of the real culprit becomes.
PROS:
- Beautiful scenes;
- Chilling environmental music;
- Good story;
- The journal is well-executed;
- The guide helps a lot if stuck.
CONS:
- In all HO games you have to click on the specific item;
- I would have preferred the story to continue without interruption. The main game ends abruptedly while the bonus chapter starts where the main one ends. If the developer "excused" themselves to have incorporated both main and bonus games into one string that I would have understood and felt delighted. Other than the abrupt ending and the exact spot beginning, everything is fine.
- No Steam achievements;
- No trading cards.
Like in all games that I play, I don't look at achievements or trading cards. Some players do look for these specific elements, so that is why I incorporate them into my review. Other than that, I always look for the story of a game. The scenes, music, mechanics and, above all, story. I am a literary-driven gamer. I like good stories, what can I say? As such, my conclusion is that the game is a must-play on anyone's list.

Game Visuals
I want to mention that the visuals in the game are nicely done. The visuals can be adjusted in the game's option menu.
Game Audio
I want to mention that audio for the game is well done. Even though the audio is somewhat simplistic and repetitive. The audio can be adjusted in the game's option menu as well.
Gameplay
There are two different difficulty game modes to choose from: Casual and Expert.
The notebook keeps track of progression in the game. Such as story events and clues.
There is no interactive map in the game. The player has to remember where to go in the game.
There is no padlock feature that is available to lock the inventory panel in place to make it stationary.
The hidden object scenes consist of the following: Traditional word list. Some of these hidden object scenes may require little or no interactions.
The puzzles are fairly easy to solve without having the need to skip any of them.
Since this is a collector's edition, there is a bonus chapter, but it can be accessed only after the main story is completed.
Miscellaneous
There are extra features in the game: Bonus Chapter; Soundtracks; Concept Art; Wallpapers; Screen Saver and Game's Strategy Guide. Most of these extra features can be accessed only after the entire game is completed.
Final thoughts: I have found the game enjoyable to a certain extent. The replay value for the game is low. I would recommend this game, but not at the game's full price value.

A childhood classic that I thought I would never be able to find again. While it may look outdated to some who like to play these games in 2023. It definitely holds up for still being a fun Hidden Object adventure.

I enjoyed this game. It has no map and the hint button is for the HO only. There is a skip to puzzles. The puzzles are sometimes challenging, but usually fairly easy to solve. I purchased this game on the steam sale and felt it was well worth the cost.
