While this one is good, I prefer Battlezone 1: it plays smoother, you can choose when to to play each faction's campaign, and I just like the more 'real' planets closer to home...
Combat Commander has the better vs AI Instant Action support however and it so happens that there is not just one, but TWO major BZ1 mods in the workshop. 'Battlezone Classic' for a good ol' time, or 'Total Command' if you want your balls ripped off on mission one! Now I happily play through BZ1's Campaigns in BZCC's engine, or enjoy Instant Action with the factions and on the old maps I used to know!
Maybe one day Interstate '76, and Interstate '82 will get the same re-mastering attention!

Great re-make, all the classic maps and plenty of workshop maps, good graphics update and the menu is simple and hasn't changed much from the original, one of my favourite games and to be able to play it in Windows 10 & 11 still is great, my original copy's had a stuttering issue ever since windows 10, it was an old game i guess but steam has revived it and works flawlessly
