I feel like there's some lost potential with this DLC. The thought of car stripping is something I would like to call essetial to this type of game, but the way that this was handled came out short.
For now you pay a fee of $1000 to strip a random car for parts (in hardcore mode). You strip the car of parts, then you can sell the parts or keep the parts (that is not trash). You seem to always profit if you dismatle the whole car.
I also seem to have low FPS in the garage you are sent to. 15 FPS on average, while I have 120+ FPS in the game otherwise. I think the new garage would need some optimization.
Now, as I've stated earlier I believe this functionality for the game comes out short. I would much rather have to buy a trashed car of my choice, from a list of a random set of cars for a certain amount of money, depending on quality. Then dismantle the car for parts and see what parts I can use (The rest of the car is trashed). This would add a little more gamble to the game, where you have to think if it's worth to buy the car or not. (Some balancing would be needed of course, and probably a way to inspect the car)
The "DLC" for now feels more like a free update than an actual expansion for the game, but for 0,99€ I can't really complain as it costs as much as a pack of noodles where I live. However, this feels a little alarming for the moneygrab scenario. Now I do have faith in that this is not the case, as then the DLC would probably be sold for 2,99€ instead. Who knows?
Would I recommend it? Well, I'm not sure. This could be a valuable extra for a new game, but there is nothing really going on with this DLC on higher levels (Since there is no "new" in-depth gameplay aspect of this DLC).
I think I would say no to my previous question, as it doesn't add much of a new experience for my save game at least.
I have played more than 0 hours, maybe the time isn't updated when I'm still in the game?

They should make it to where you can sell cars there too and put multiple cars in there to strip and you should be able to buy the cars from them and make it like a jank yard where you can walk and see other cars you may want parts off of

I dont see the use of this and this should have been a free update since it doesnt add anything new. Just another chore for you to do and you don't wanna pay for chores.

I don't get the hate on this dlc. I agree that it should be an update, but it's only $0.99. I bought it for $0.69 today. There's a 1k admission fee to enter the area to salvage vehicles. The most money I got from a salvage was 6k. I guess it takes time to take the car apart, but it's free money. If you're a cheater or if you played legit and have tons of money and will never run out, then I guess this dlc wouldn't really mean anything to you. But for people who just started playing, or are starting a new save, or are just low on money, then this dlc (regardless of the "mild" hassle it takes to dismantle the cars) will interest you.

Like others already said, this should have been a free update. It adds this area where a random broken car can be stripped for cash or parts. Entry is $1000. In my first time I got a profit of about $6000. After you go back to your garage, you can either keep all the parts you got or sell them all, there's no option to choose what you want to sell or not. For the amount of money you get It's completely useless, unless you are just starting a game. And even then, it's way more fun to make money repairing cars than stripping them.
Also, this "dlc" was poorly implemented. There's not even an exit from the new area, you have to hit esc and select "return to garage". At least I got it really cheap on the summer sale, as part of the platinum edition.

This DLC seems like it would be most useful if you're just starting out, not just for the money earned from selling off the parts you strip out (about $4,000 or so per trip), but also by letting you get some early practice in disassembling a couple different types of engines and suspension setups, so you won't be as confused about where certain parts are when you start fixing those cars later on. The cars you strip out are already quite picked over, but there's enough left to learn the basic layouts from.
Later on, after you've maxed out your part repair skills, this is still pretty useful for getting more expensive repairables like steering racks and engine blocks at a discount since you can still sell what you don't want manually from your inventory, repair what you want to keep and still likely turn a small profit in the end. Plus it feels much more immersive than pressing T and instantly having half a car in your pocket five seconds later.
Either way, it's only a dollar so picking this up won't break your back. Sell some trading cards or that ugly TF2 hat you unboxed and never equipped.

You have to pay for an update.....
THIS SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE BASE GAME CONTENT.
I don't care about the 1 buck I threw in,
but this kind of business practice isn't favorable.
Early review
This is written after stripping 3 cars and I think I have seen all that this offers, I might be wrong though.
This DLC adds a new feature that will let you disassemble random cars which will give you some of the parts that you have taken off from the car. It costs 1000$ to access the area and you will be able to disassemble one broken-down car for some of that parts that are still i good condition (some parts will be 0$ junk). After you are done with the car you return to your garage using the ESC menu and you will be able to sell the parts for money or keep them for future use. It might be possible to get a car that will give you parts for less than the 1000$ you paid for it but I have not gotten that yet.
Should you buy it?
For 0,99€ it's not very expensive but this really doesn't add anything special to the game. The area you disassemble cars in feels very rushed and no objects in the area like doors or workbench are interactable. This DLC migh be useful to repair contract cars without spending too much money.
Is it a good way to make money in the game?
Not really, you will make more money re-building whole cars at high lvl and it gives no exp whish is good early on in the game. Might be good for when you only have very little money left and you don't want to pay for a loan.
Can you pick which car you get to strip?
No, you are always given a random car which means getting a specific part might be hard, getting common parts such as pistons and rubber bushings is quite easy.
This should have been a update to the base game not a 0,99€ DLC!
