Amazing game, the best overall VR game ever for me. You get a great workout, it looks lovely and if you mod it, then you can add many of your favourite songs as well. I wouldn't bother with the paid tracks though, unless you like mostly modern garbage that passes as music! Yet to be topped imho!

Game is broken, I have paid for DLC that no longer shows up in the game and I have to run a legacy version of the game to even play. Error is Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll Report Id: 762bfd08-3fb6-4bf1-92c0-d88b01ca9f4b

Beat Saber is a virtual reality rhythm game that has managed to establish itself as one of the most iconic and widely recognized VR experiences to date. At its core, the concept is deceptively simple: slice colored blocks to the beat of music using dual virtual sabers, one in each hand. But once you put on the headset and step into its glowing, pulsating world, it becomes immediately clear why this game has maintained its popularity. The movement, music, and visual design all come together to create a highly engaging and physically immersive experience. The gameplay is sharp and responsive. Each incoming block is color-coded and marked with a directional arrow, indicating which saber to use and which direction to swing. It's a clean system that allows the game to stay intuitive for beginners while still providing room for skill expression at higher difficulties. The beat maps are meticulously hand-crafted, which makes each level feel like a unique rhythmic puzzle, not just a series of random swings. As difficulty increases, players must dodge incoming walls, respond to increasingly complex patterns, and move their entire bodies to succeed. Visually, Beat Saber leans heavily into a neon-futuristic aesthetic that suits the music and action perfectly. The environments are minimal but energetic, using lighting and particle effects to enhance the feeling of momentum and impact. Each successful slice is accompanied by satisfying audiovisual feedback, making even small victories feel rewarding. The soundtrack features a mix of electronic, rock, and pop tracks, and the game has expanded its library over time with both original music and officially licensed DLC from well-known artists. Beyond the main gameplay, Beat Saber offers a wide range of customization and content options. There’s a full single-player campaign with challenges and objectives, multiplayer functionality for real-time duels, and a party mode that’s great for casual groups. On PC, the community modding scene is massive. Players can download thousands of custom songs, tweak visual effects, and even overhaul mechanics. This flexibility adds virtually endless replayability. While console and standalone versions don’t support mods, they still receive frequent content updates and DLC packs. The game also happens to be an excellent workout. Swinging your arms, ducking obstacles, and keeping pace with fast-moving tracks can quickly become a cardio-intensive session. It’s one of the few games that effortlessly blends entertainment with physical activity, making it popular not just among gamers but also among those using VR for fitness. Over time, Beat Saber has earned its reputation not just as a game but as a tool for movement and wellness. That said, it’s not without its limitations. Some players on PCVR platforms occasionally report performance inconsistencies or motion tracking issues depending on hardware setup. Updates to the game can sometimes interfere with mods, requiring users to manually roll back versions or wait for community fixes. On PlayStation VR, support has been gradually phased out, with future DLC and multiplayer updates set to stop after early 2026, which may limit the longevity for that platform’s user base. Still, the strengths of Beat Saber far outweigh its drawbacks. It remains one of the best showcases for what VR can do—easy to pick up, difficult to master, and endlessly entertaining. Whether you're chasing high scores, breaking a sweat, or simply enjoying the music, it delivers a compelling and polished experience. Few VR titles have achieved its level of success or cultural presence, and even years after release, it continues to evolve and captivate players around the world. Rating: 9/10

More time on other accounts and devices, but this game is a lot better modded as the song packs are ridiculously expensive. However, the base music is still pretty good, although not a lot of variety.

the included songs kinda suck (only a handful of good ones), custom levels (made by community) are kind of a saving grace because I don't have beat saber dlc money (no infinite money glitch in real life yet), except the good custom levels are usually expert only so I gotta get gud before I can play them.

You think you're a god at the game after beating a map on Expert mode… then Expert+ shows up like: "Sit down, champ — that was just the warm-up." 10/10 would accidentally punch my TV again.
